This hostel keeps the style of the whole network of

centers of attention for pilgrims, including host and

medical services.

Foundation 'Proyecto Joven' and 'Jufami' (Juventud

y Familia) are the two Leonese nonprofit entities in

charge of managing this place for pilgrims on their

way to Santiago.

   Located in the heart of the

 province of León, in a town that seems to have had

its origin in an Astur settlement conquered by

 Romans. Until the late nineteenth century its

inhabitants worked mainly as farmers and

livestocks. The city hall of Villadangos comprises

two more dependant villages, Celadilla del

 Páramo and Fojedo del Páramo with a population

of over 1,000 inhabitants.
