We have brought Australia’s best craft breweries together here in Newcastle to celebrate, educate & enjoy everything good about good beer!
2011 is the inaugural year for Newcastle Craft Beer Week (NCBW) a concept developed by the passionate ‘real’ beer loving Newcastle Hotelier Corey Crooks from the Albion and his mate and fellow ‘real’ beer lover Mark Mead manager of Australia’s best craft beer store Warners @ The Bay.
The first year is jam packed with activity across Newcastle’s best beer venues & the vision is to grow the event each year to be bigger & better with the possibility of creating ‘The Newcastle Beer Awards’ with an awards presentation dinner in future years, plus bringing in guest speakers from overseas.
