monitors • Presentation given at a National seminar organised

by Sustainable energy Ireland (4th September 2009)

• 2nd National Users club meeting organised for 26th November 2009

• 73 public buildings audited using national DEC software (all <1000m2) (see slide 5)

• Results of these audits used for an application to national funding programme, 11 buildings have had insulation upgrades and heating upgrades as a result of this application (see table on next slide)

• Target 122 Kwh/m2/year (33% reduction)

• Previously a number of campaigns were rolled out.

• New programme forms part of CCS and Energy Map.

• Working with Service providers

• Based around reducing energy use in non-occupancy hours

• >50% energy used in public buildings while non-occupied

• Joint campaign by Energia and CCC• Launched October ‘09• Based on a League table system• Updated 6 monthly.
