Alfresco Enterprise Edition 3.4.1 Release

The following notes provide detailed information on the Alfresco Enterprise

Edition 3.4.1 release.

Installation

Please refer to Installing Alfresco.

Known Issues

ALF-7497: WCM Web Form XSL rendition requires Xalan XSLT Processor

The standard JAXP XSLTC Processor implementation built in to the Sun JDK is

not compatible with Alfresco WCM Web Forms. In order to use Web Forms with

XSL renditions, you must download the xalan 2.7.0 binary distribution from

http://archive.apache.org/dist/xml/xalan-j/

Then copy xalan.jar and serializer.jar into tomcat/endorsed or jre/lib/endorsed.

ALF-7574: Setting up a cluster on Solaris

On Solaris environments, and possibly other environments with restricted TCP port ranges and multiple network adapters, it is necessary to make the following

changes to ehcache-custom.xml after following the steps described in Initiating

Clustering in the Alfresco Enterprise Documentation.

1. Remove the following default definition of

cacheManagerPeerListenerFactory.

3. Set the following parameters in alfresco-global.properties

alfresco.ehcache.rmi.hostname: the IP address of the network

adapter to listen on for cache invalidation messages

alfresco.ehcache.rmi.port: the fixed port number to bind the

ehcache RMI registry to

through which to receive cache invalidation messages

Kerberos Authentication

As of JDK 6 u22, keytabs used to support Alfresco Kerberos authentication must

be exported with a key version number of zero. On Active Directory this is

achieved by including the arguments “-kvno 0” in the ktpass command.

DB2 9.7 support

DB2 9.7 Fix Pack 3a must be applied for support on DB2.

Title and Description do not reflect changes across browsers in

Share forms

MLText properties (Title and Description) can sometimes appear to lose data

when saving and viewing a document's metadata across two different browsers.

This occurs when the browsers are using different language preference settings

(such as when one browser is set to "English-United States" while the other is

set to "English-British"). The properties are saved successfully, but to the

relevant locale. Non MLText properties such as Name and Author does not show

this behaviour.

To guarantee all users consistently see the same values, ensure all browsers are

using the same language preference configuration.

Share document download issue on Tomact with https(SSL) for

Internet Explorer versions 7 & 8

On IE7 and IE8, you will get error message if you try to download a document

from share in Tomcat with https(SSL) enabled.

To resolve this issue add following to Context element within file

..tomcat/conf/context.xml
