ET- write these notes downVariable- a letter that is used to represent one or more numbers.Value of a variable- the numbers represented by the variableVariable Expression- A collection of numbers, variables and operations.Evaluating the Expression- replacing each variable by a number and doing the math

Power Expression- an expression that has a power in it. For example 46 Exponent- the number of times the base is used as a factor, or multiplied.Base- the bottom number in a power, the number that is being multiplied. When you are done work on any assignments you have not completed.VocabularyUnit Analysis- figuring out the units for each variable in a problem. When the same units occur in the numerator and the denominator then you can cancel the units.Verbal Model- represent the math problem in words instead of math symbols.Important equationsAverage speed = distance timeSimple interest = Principle(interest rate)(time)
