PRESIDENT BOUTEFLIKA AND TURKISH COUNTERPART HOLD TALKS
The president of the Republic, Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, held talks on Wednesday, Nov. 19, in
Algiers with his Turkish counterpart, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who arrived in Algeria for an
official visit.
The visit is Mr. Erdogan's official bilateral visit overseas as President of the Turkish Republic.
The visit is part of the continued strengthening of relations between the two countries, which
are bound by a Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation signed in 2006.
Paying tribute to the experience of the president of the Republic, Mr. Erdogan said that "my dis-
cussions with President Bouteflika gave me the opportunity to mention Algeria's role in the re-
gion."
Moreover, he expressed his satisfaction with the historic ties binding Algeria and Turkey and
said that 2016 will mark the 500th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations be-
tween the two countries.
On the occasion of Mr. Erdogan's visit, an Algerian-Turkish business and economic forum was
held in Algiers and was attended by the Turkish president and Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sel-
lal.

PRESIDENT BOUTEFLIKA MEETS WITH FRANCE'S FOREIGN MINISTER
The president of the Republic, Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, met on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, in
Algiers with French Minister for Foreign affairs and International Development Laurent Fabius.
After his meeting with the President, Mr. Fabius declared that Algeria and France cooperate in
an "absolutely exemplary" fashion and that their relations "have never been better than they are
today."
The head of French diplomacy also indicated having discussed with the head of the state "the
inauguration of the Oran automobile manufacturing plant," adding that their meeting had also
dealt with cooperation between the two countries "in all areas", and mentioned in particular the
areas of transport, tourism, housing, and training.
Mr. Fabius also spoke about "numerous topics" which will be discussed next December, during
Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal's visit to Paris.
The French minister said that President Bouteflika had expressed his "great satisfaction" with
the work being done by both countries and his wish to see their relations of cooperation move
on to a "new phase."
Furthermore, Mr. Fabius said he and President Bouteflika had reviewed regional and interna-
tional issues of mutual interest, namely the situation in Mali, Libya, Africa and the Middle East.

RELATIONS
Mr. Rafael Ramirez Carreno, Minister of the People's Power for External Relations of Vene-
zuela and Special Envoy of President Nicolas Maduro, from whom he was a carrying a mes-
sage, was hosted by the president of the Republic, Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, on Wednesday,
Nov. 12, 2014 in Algiers.
Speaking after his audience with the president, Mr. Carreno spoke of the "increased" coopera-
tion with Algeria in the hydrocarbon sector.
"We have discussed the global oil market and reaffirmed our position to defend the price for
oil," said the Venezuelan minister, who underlined the "convergence of vies" on the matter be-
tween the two countries.
As a member of OPEC, the organization of petroleum-exporting countries, Venezuela
"coordinates its positions" with other members of the organization "to defend a fair price" for
oil, he added.

POLITICAL CONSULTATIVE CONFERENCE NATIONAL COMMITTEE

Algiers Mr. Yu Zhengsheng, chairman of the Chi-
nese People's Political Consultative Conference
National Committee, who arrived in Algeria for a
working and friendship visit.
After the meeting, Mr. Yu Zhengsheng declared
that China was determined to further strengthen its
ties with Algeria.
The Chinese official said he had had "friendly exchanges" with President Bouteflika relating
namely to the relations of cooperation and friendship between China and Algeria and about the
"new progress" achieved in that respect.
"We have had exchanges on the main international issues," he said, noting the "convergence" of
the positions of both countries on those issues

PRIME MINISTER SELLAL HOSTS TUNISIA'S FOREIGN MINISTER
Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal hosted on Thursday, Nov. 6, in Algiers, Tunisia's Minister
for Foreign Affairs Mongi Hamdi, who was in Algeria for a working visit as part of periodic
concertation meetings between the two countries.
The two officials reviewed the state of Algerian-Tunisian relations and expressed their satisfac-
tion with their quality and the real opportunities they offered for increased cooperation.
They also discussed the situation prevailing in the sub-region and agreed to strengthen coordi-
nation between the two countries.
PRIME MINISTER SELLAL HOSTS THE SPEAKER OF LIBYA'S HOUSE OF REP-
RESENTATIVES
Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal met on Saturday, Nov. 10, in Algiers with the Speaker of
Libya's House of Representatives, who arrived in
Algeria for a friendship and working visit at the invitation of the Speaker of the People's Na-
tional Assembly, Mr. Larbi Ould Khelifa.
The meeting enabled the two sides to exchange views on the situation prevailing in Libya in the
political and security areas.
The meeting revealed a convergence of views on the ways and means needed to support our
Libyan brothers as they seek to establish dialogue leading to a crisis resolution that helps to pre-
serve the security and sovereignty of that sisterly neighboring country.

MR. SELLAL CO-CHAIRS IN CAIRO THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE ALGERIAN-
EGYPTIAN HIGH JOINT COMMISSION
Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal traveled to
Cairo, Egypt, where he joined his Egyptian
counterpart Ibrahim Mahlab in co-chairing on
Thursday, Nov. 14, the proceedings of the 7th
Algerian-Egyptian High Joint Commission.
During their meeting, the two sides assessed
the state of their cooperation and examined
ways and means to develop and consolidate it
further.
The commission's proceedings concluded with the signature of a series of agreements and pro-
grams intended to strengthen partnerships and exchanges in various areas.
Mr. Sellal, who headed a large ministerial delegation, was hosted by Egyptian President Abdel
Fattah el-Sisi to whom he conveyed a message from President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
The Algerian Prime minister also held talks with a number of Egyptian officials on ways to
strengthen bilateral cooperation and on the situation prevailing in the Arab world, namely in
Libya, Syria and Iraq.
In that respect, the two sides expressed their concern with the deteriorating security and politi-
cal situation in Libya and called on all sides in that country to engage in dialogue.
With regards to Syria, they expressed their belief that a military option is unlikely to foster a
resolution to the crisis and underlined the need to put an end to military operations and foreign
interference in that country.
With regards to Iraq, the two sides reaffirmed the steadfast positions of Algeria and Egypt to-
wards that country, namely with respect to its unity and territorial integrity, while condemning
terrorism under all its guises.
On the African chapter, Egypt hailed the efforts deployed by Algeria in support of the on-going
negotiation process in Mali. In that respect, the two sides reiterated their support of the inter-
Malian negotiation process intended to foster a comprehensive solution guaranteeing Malian
unity and peace and security in the Sahel region.

MR. SELLAL TAKES PART IN THE ALGERIAN-TURKISH BUSINESS AND ECO-
NOMIC FORUM
Focusing on strengthening partnerships between Algerian and Turkish firms, the Algerian-
Turkish Business and Economic Forum convened on Wednesday, Nov. 19, in Algiers, as part of
the two-day official visit to Algerian by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Several Algerian corporate executives and about a hundred Turkish businessmen took part in a
bilateral forum essentially focusing on strengthening economic and trade partnerships in non-
hydrocarbon areas, in particular.
At the conclusion of the forum, President Erdogan, who was co-chairing the proceedings along-
side Prime Minister Sellal, declared that his country wanted to invest even more in Algeria and
noted that so far Turkish firms have invested $2 billion in Algeria, mentioning in that respect
the project being implemented by the Turkish steelmaker Tosyali.
Moreover, Mr. Erdogan called for increasing trade exchanges between the two countries as
soon as possible from the current level of $4.5 billion to $10 billion and added that all impedi-
ments to trade should be lifted.

MR. SELLAL TRAVELS TO QATAR FOR A WORKING VISIT
Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal traveled to Qatar on Saturday, Nov. 22, to start a working
visit in that country and co-chair with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Abdallah Ben Nasser Ben
Khalifa Al-Thani the proceedings of the 5th session of the Algerian-Qatari High Joint Commis-
sion.
During its proceedings, the commission assessed cooperation in all areas between the two coun-
tries. Several agreements and programs intended to strengthen ties between Algeria and Qatar
were signed on that occasion.
Moreover, officials from the two countries discussed strengthening and consolidating economic
partnership between firms from both countries.
Mr. Sellal's visit also included meetings with several Qatari high officials, including Sheikha
Moza Bent Nasser Al-Missned, Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamed Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, as well
as Sheikh Abdallah Ben Nasser Ben Khalifa Al-Thani, Qatar's Prime minister and Minister of
Interior.
Furthermore, Mr. Sellal unveiled the new Algerian embassy in Doha and met with members of
the Algerian community in that country and members of the Algerian press.

PRIME MINISTER SELLAL HOSTS BRITISH MINISTER FOR THE
MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA
On Thursday, Nov. 27, in Algiers, Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal hosted for
talks the British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Mr. Tobias Martin
Ellwood, who arrived in Algeria for a working visit as part of regular political
consultations between Algeria and the United Kingdom.
During the meeting, the Prime minister and the British official discussed the state
of bilateral relations. The meeting took place as the British capital is gearing to
host the Algerian-British Investment and Trade Forum in early December.
The two officials also discussed other issues of mutual interest, namely those re-
lated to the regional and sub-regional situation.

FOREIGN MINISTER LAMAMRA HOSTS THE PRESIDENT OF THE CHINESE
PEOPLE'S POLITICAL CONSULTATIVE CONFERENCE NATIONAL COMMIT-
TEE
Strengthening Algerian-Chinese "strategic" bilat-
eral cooperation was on the menu of the discus-
sions held on Sunday, Nov. 2, in Algiers between
Minister for Foreign Affairs Ramtane Lamamra
and the president of the Chinese People's Political
Consultative Conference National Committee
(CPPCCNC), Mr. Yu Zhengsheng.
Mr. Lamamra's guest stressed that his discussions
with the foreign minister dealt with the strategic
cooperation between Algeria and China, in light of
the five-year agreement signed between the Algerian and Chinese heads of diplomacy in June
2013.
Mr. Yu Zhengsheng and his delegation also visited various areas of the headquarters of the for-
eign ministry, which a Chinese firm had built. The Chinese officials also examined a mock-up
of the headquarters of the Institute for International Relations (IDRI). The project is being im-
plemented by a Chinese construction company, with completion planned for May 2015.
MR. MESSAHEL HOLDS TALKS WITH TUNISIAN FOREIGN MINISTER
Minister Delegate for Maghreb and African affairs Abdelkader Messahel met for talks with Tu-
nisian Foreign Minister Mongi Hamdi, who arrived in Algeria for working visit as part of peri-
odic concertation meetings.
During the meeting, the two ministers held an in-depth exchange of views on the security situa-
tion in the region in light of the state of the terrorist threat and on the latest developments that
have taken place in Libya.
After their meeting, Messrs. Messahel and Hamdi expressed their satisfaction with the level of
counterterrorism cooperation existing between the two countries and committed to work to
strengthen and deepen it.
With regards to Libya, the two officials reaffirmed their commitment to inter-Libyan political
dialogue, as guarantor of unity of the Libyan people and integrity of the country's territory, to
help secure a lasting and definitive settlement of the crisis affecting that country.

MR. LAMAMRA TAKES PART IN THE SIR BANI YAS FORUM
Minister for Foreign Affairs Ramtane Lamamra took part in the Sir Bani Yas Fo-
rum convened in the United Arab Emirates, at the invitation of his Emirati coun-
terpart Sheikh Abdallah Ben Zayed Al Nahyan,
The annual forum is attended by ministers and other personalities from around the
world and was "devoted this year to the Middle East conflict and the situation in
Iraq and Syria, to other crises affecting several Arab countries and to the phe-
nomenon of terrorism."
On that occasion, the head of Algerian diplomacy met with counterparts from
Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Canada and Luxemburg, as well as the
secretary general of the Arab League.
Mr. Lamamra also held talks with the foreign minister of the United Arab Emir-
ates Sheikh Abdallah Ben Zayed Al Nahyan, and Emirati Minister of State Dr.
Sultan Ahmed El Jaber. Their discussions dealt with the "state and prospects of
the Algerian-Emirati economic partnership and with political issues of mutual in-
terest."

MR. LAMAMRA ATTENDS THE IFO SUMMIT IN DAKAR
Minister for Foreign affairs Ramtane Lamamra took part on Nov. 29-30 in Dakar, Sene-
gal, in the proceedings of the 15th summit meeting of the International Francophonie
Organization, held under the theme "Women, Youth and Francophonie: Vectors of
Peace, Actors for Development", a statement released Thursday by the foreign ministry
indicated.
In remarks delivered before delegates at a summit attended by Algeria since its partici-
pation in the 2002 summit held in Beirut, Lebanon, Mr. Lamamra expressed Algeria's
wish to see the Dakar proceedings on Francophonie exhibit "lifesaving dynamics" help-
ing to strengthen the network of international cooperation that helps foster a
"qualitatively better" future for all mankind.
On the sidelines of the summit, the foreign minister met with Mali's President Ibrahim
Boubacar Keita, with whom he exchanged views on the progress achieved in the Inter-
Malian negotiation process and on the prospects for success of the mediation efforts de-
ployed under the aegis of Algeria, sources indicated.
Mr. Lamamra also met with Senegal's President Macky Sall, who is the incoming presi-
dent of the IOF, and with President Abdou Diouf, the outgoing secretary general of the
organization.
Furthermore, the foreign minister met with the presidents of France, François Hollande,
of Chad, Idriss Deby Itno, of Benin, Yaya Boni, and of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Ab-
delaziz.
Mr. Lamamra also held talks with his counterparts from Rwanda and Togo, and with the
Prime minister of Djibouti.

MR. MESSAHEL HOLDS TALKS WITH RUSSIAN FOREIGN MINISTER LAVROV
Minister Delegate for Maghreb and African Affairs Abdelkader Messahel traveled to Moscow
for a working visit held as part of regular political consultations with Russia and was hosted for
talks by the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Mr. Serguei Lavrov, on Wednesday,
Nov. 12.
During their meeting, the two ministers reviewed the state of Algerian-Russian bilateral coop-
eration and discussed prospects of further development of those ties as they also examined other
issues on the agenda of future meetings between the two countries.
They gave particular attention to the final arrangements leading to the convention within the
next year of the 7th session of the Algerian-Russian joint commission. The commission meeting
outcome should provide a new impetus to cooperation between the two countries and raise it to
a level reflecting their potentialities, thereby strengthening even further the strategic agreement
uniting Algeria and Russia.
Additionally, the two ministers exchanged views on issues of mutual interest concerning,
namely, the Maghreb, the crisis in Libya, the latest developments regarding the issue of West-
ern Sahara, as well as the terrorist threat and how to curb it.

COOPERATION
ALGERIA-BOEING: SIGNATURE OF CONTRACT FOR PROCUREMENT OF TWO
BOEING-737 CARGO PLANES
Algeria's flag-carrier Air Algérie and the U.S. airplane builder Boeing signed on Nov. 10 in Al-
giers a contract for the procurement of two Boeing-737 cargo planes.
The contract was signed by Air Algérie's CEO Mohamed Salah Boultif and Boeing's VP for
Africa and the Middle East Van Rex Gallard.
The two aircraft, added to eight other types of 737-class aircraft purchased by Air Algérie from
Boeing since 2014, "should offer some flexibility to Air Algérie," Mr. Boultif said after the sig-
nature ceremony.
A first batch of two aircraft out of the ten on the command list should be delivered to the carrier
in 2015, with the rest planned to be delivered in 2016, according to the agreement terms.
For U.S. Ambassador to Algeria Joan Polaschik, who attended the contract signature ceremony,
this order of aircraft from the U.S. constructor "is part of the continued and robust trade rela-
tionship between Algeria and the United States."
Air Algérie, which had set for itself the challenge of establishing a hub in Algiers, intends to
purchase 16 new aircraft by 2016. The new orders should build its fleet to 59 aircraft from the
current number of 43, thanks to other orders planned to be placed with European constructors
Airbus and ATR.

ALGERIA-FRANCE: RENAULT AUTOMOBILE CONSTRUCTION PLANT
UNVEILED IN ORAN
Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal inaugurated on Nov. 10 in Oran the new Renault
automobile construction plant, located in the area of Oued Tlelat, in the south of the
Oran Province.
Heading a large ministerial delegation, the Prime minister attended on that occasion the
delivery of the first "Symbol" car from the plant's assembly line. The plant was built as
part of the country investment program and in partnership with the French automobile
constructor Renault.
The unveiling ceremony took place in the presence of the French ministers of Foreign
Affairs and International Development, Laurent Fabius, and Economy, Industry and
Digital Sector Emmanuel Macron, and the CEO of the Renault Group, Carlos Ghosn.
Located over an area of more than 300 acres (151 hectares) in Tlelat, the plant has so far
cost close to 50 million euros and could see investments in that project increase to about
800 million euros over the mid-term.
While the objective of the project is to reach a 42% national integration rate by the year
2019, production of the first vehicle, which will include some locally-produced plastic
parts, has already made it possible to achieve a rate of integration of 17%, with promises
to reach 25% in 2015.

ALGERIA-CANADA: HIGHER EDUCATION COOPERATION MOU
SIGNED
Ottawa hosted the signature of an MOU enabling Algeria and Canada to further
strengthen and develop their bilateral cooperation in the area of higher education
and scientific research.
The document was signed by the representative of the Algerian National Universi-
ties Commission, Ouiza Chérifi, and the representative of the Canadian Office of
International Education (COIE), Karen McBride. The document was signed on
the occasion of COIE annual conference, held recently in the Canadian capital.
According to the terms of the MOU, the two institutions agreed to "design a part-
nership program meeting the development needs of the Algerian sector of higher
education and scientific research, to encourage and facilitate inter-collegial con-
ventions around graduate students' mobility and teacher-researchers, as well as
establish research networks focusing on targeted topic areas."

ALGERIA-EGYPT: 17 AGREEMENTS AND MOUS SIGNED
Seventeen agreements and MOUs were signed on Thursday, Nov. 13, at the close of the pro-
ceedings of the 7th session held in Cairo, Egypt, by the Algerian-Egyptian high joint commis-
sion, co-chaired by the Algerian and Egyptian Prime ministers, Abdelmalek Sellal and Ibrahim
Mahleb.
The agreements and memorandums related to several sectors, including export development,
consumer affairs protection, cooperation between the stock exchanges of both countries, insur-
ance and re-insurance, veterinary services, training and vocational training, and tourism.
With regards to the energy sector, the commission expressed its satisfaction with the agreement
reached between Algeria's Sonatrach group and the Egyptian utilities company EGAS as part of
an agreement to supply Egypt with Algerian LNG.
ALGERIA-TURKEY: CONVENTION ON EXTENSION OF LNG SUPPLY AGREE-
MENT SIGNED
On Nov. 19, in Algiers, Minister of Energy Youcef Yousfi and his Turkish coun-
terpart Taner Yildiz signed a convention with a 10-year extension and 50% in-
crease in volume of an agreement for the supply of Algerian liquefied natural gas
(LNG) to Turkey.
Speaking to media representatives after the signature ceremonies, the two minis-
ters spoke of a likely extension of the bilateral energy cooperation to other areas
such as prospection, fertilizers, petrochemicals, and renewable energy forms.

ALGERIA-QATAR: 13 CONVENTIONS AND MOUS SIGNED
On Sunday, Nov. 23, in Doha, Qatar, the proceedings of the 5th session of the Al-
gerian-Qatari high joint commission convened in the Qatari capital concluded
with the signature of 13 documents, including conventions, memorandums of un-
derstanding, and executive programs relating to several sectors including commu-
nication, tourism, sports, youth affairs, education, higher education, and fisheries.
The signature ceremony was co-chaired by Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal and
Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdallah Ben Nasser Ben
Khalifa Al-Thani.
The ceremony concluded with the signature by Mr. Sellal and his Qatari counter-
part of the minutes of the 5th session of the Algerian-Qatari high joint commis-
sion.

ALGERIA-KENYA: TWO COOPERATION AND CONCERTATION
AGREEMENTS SIGNED IN ALGIERS
Minister for Foreign affairs Ramtane Lamamra and Kenyan Minister for Foreign
affairs and International Trade Amina Mohamed signed on Nov. 11 in Algiers two
cooperation and concertation agreements between Algeria and Kenya.
After holding one-on-one discussions, the two ministers extended their meeting to
include their respective delegations before signing the agreements, which in-
cluded an agreement establishing a joint cooperation commission and a memoran-
dum of understanding on political concertations.
The Kenyan foreign minister called the two agreements a strong foundation for
raising Algerian-Kenyan relations to their highest level and added that the agree-
ments were but a first step toward strengthening and consolidating cooperation
between Algerian and Kenya.
Foreign Minister Mohamed also announced the coming unveiling of a Kenyan
embassy in Algiers and indicated that an ambassador has already been designated.
Moreover, she insisted to hail Algeria's role in helping to secure peace and secu-
rity in the Sahel region, and particularly in Mali and Libya, and she expressed her
satisfaction with the role played in Somalia by the African Union mission which,
she noted, "has succeeded in liberating several areas of the Somali territory."

KAMEL DAOUD WAS AWARDED THE "LISTE GONCOURT - LE CHOIX DE
L'ORIENT"
The Algerian columnist and novelist Kamel Daoud was awarded the "Liste Goncourt -
Le Choix de l'Orient" at the 21st Francophone Book Festival of Beirut for his novel
"Meursaut, contre-enquête".
The festival jury chose to award its prize to Kamel Daoud for "the singularity of the
topic of the novel which enables Meursaut, the main character of Albert Camus'
"L'Étranger" to lead a counter-investigation to rehabilitate the victim ("The Arab")".
Published in 2013 in Algeria by Éditions Barzakh, "Meursaut, contre-enquête" earned
his author the "François Mauriac Prize" awarded by the French Academy and the "Five
Contientns Prize" awarded by the International Organization of Francophonie, in addi-
tion to the Algiers "Escale Littéraire" Prize awarded to him by Algerian and French
journalists and writers.
Kamel Daoud is the author of several novels collected in "Le Minoteure 504" (Sabine
Wespieser Verlag, 2011), which was initially published in Algiers under the title "La
Préface du nègre" (Barzakh, 2008).

NABIL ASLI AWARDED BEST ACTOR PRIZE AT SPAIN'S OURENSE FESTIVAL
The algerian actor and comedian Nabil Asli was awarded the Best Actor Prize at the 15th Inter-
national Film Festival of Ourense, Spain, for his role in "The Proof", directed by his compatriot
Ammor Hakkar.
The prize, Nabil Asli's second awarded to him for that very role after he was named Best Actor
of the second Maghreb Cinema Festival, equally with Rachid El Ouali, was awarded to Asli for
"the wisdom stemming from his interpretation," the festival's jury said.
In "The Proof", the young actor stands out in the movie in his role as Ali, the taxi driver from
Khenchela, who was led to sacrifice his conjugal happiness because of the shame he felt in ad-
mitting to his relatives that he could not have any children.
This very remarkable interpretation by Nabil Asli is his second major acting role, after his role
in Merzal Allouache's "Le Repenti" (2012).
Established in 1996, the International Film Festival of Ourense presents each year a collection
of some of the most innovative movies from around the world dealing primarily with socially
responsible topics and innovative cinematographic techniques.

U-23 VOLLEYBALL AFRICAN CHAMPIONSHIP: ALGERIA'S LARBI HEDROUG
ELECTED BEST RECEIVER
The Algerian volleyball player Larbi Hedroug was elected Best Receiver at the African Cham-
pionship for Players Under 23 (U-23), which closed on Wednesday evening at Sharm El
Sheikh, Egypt and was won by Tunisia.
In addition to a final victory and qualification for the World Competition-2015 in the United
Arab Emirates, Tunisia has collected most of the awards in individual categories: Best Player of
the Tournament for Elias Garfi, Best Smasher for Adem Oueslati, and Best Passer for Khaled
Ben Slimane.
For his part, Egypt's Ahmed Saïd was named Best Server in the competition, whereas his fellow
Egyptian Mohamed Adel won the title as Best Blocker.
Coming last in the overall ranking, along with Morocco, Rwanda got the consolation prize with
"Best Libero" awarded to its player Peter Bigirmana.
Algeria, which ranked 3rd in the final classification, won bronze behind Tunisia (1st) and Egypt
(2nd) and ahead of Libya, Rwanda and Morocco (5th equally).

WORLD TRAMPOLINE AND TUMBLING CHAMPIONSHIP: TWO ALGERIAN
ATHLETES COMPETE IN FLORIDA
Algeria lined up two athletes at the World Gymnastics Championship (Men category) who took
part in the Trampoline and Tumbling competitions, which took place on Nov.3-10 in Florida.
The athletes were Abdennour Anneg (trampoline) and Toufik Chikhi (tumbling). They were
coached by Aïssa Mansouri and Sofiane Zahi.
The Algerian junior selection also participated in the competition, entering a single athlete, Ab-
delkader Sabour (15) in the Trampoline category, in Nov. 10-17, also in Florida.
Moreover, the Algerian Artistic Gymnastics selection (Men) will take part in the Arab Champi-
onships scheduled for Nov. 27 to Dec. 2 in Kuwait. The selection was coached by Abdelmadjid
Hadji.
Three athletes will represent Algeria at the competition: Abdeljalil Mohamad Bourguig, Mo-
hamed Aouissa and Hilel Metidji.
The Algerian selection intends to take advantage of that competition to prepare for the World
Cup in 2015.
