1 ANNEX B1 INFORMATION ON BTO FLATS IN NOV 2015 EXERCISE ALKAFF COURTVIEW, ALKAFF LAKEVIEW and ALKAFF VISTA Alkaff CourtView, Alkaff LakeView and Alkaff Vista are the first three BTO projects to be launched in the Alkaff district in Bidadari estate of Toa Payoh town. They are bounded by Upper Serangoon Road and Upper Aljunied Road. 2 The projects at Bidadari will be equipped with a district-level Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System which is an automated waste collection system that provides cleaner waste disposal. They will also incorporate other sustainability initiatives to create a lush green environment for residents. This is in line with the vision of Bidadari as a tranquil urban oasis where residents can enjoy a garden-like setting in the comfort of their neighbourhood. The details are set out in Table B(1).     FERNVALE WOODS 5 Fernvale Woods is bounded by Jalan Kayu and Sengkang West Avenue. It has 1,160 flats, comprising 607 units of 2-room Flexi, 135 units of 3-room, 226 units of 4-room and 192 units of 5-room flats. Facilities to be provided in this development include a supermarket, eating house, restaurants, shops, residents’ committee centre, childcare centre, education centre and a social service centre. The two roof gardens atop the multi-storey car park allow residents to relax and unwind. These roof gardens are also open to the public. 6 Residents can visit The Seletar Mall for shopping and dining. The Fernvale LRT station, which is next to The Seletar Mall readily connects residents to a wide range of facilities in Sengkang Town such as the Sengkang MRT station, bus interchange and Compass Point (which will be undergoing renovation until 2017). A wide range of commercial facilities in Sengkang Town, include Compass Point, Kopitiam Square, Fernvale Point, Rivervale Mall and Rivervale Plaza (an HDB neighbourhood centre). Recreational facilities such as the Anchorvale Community Club, Sengkang Sports & Recreation Centre, Sengkang Riverside Park and Punggol Reservoir are within easy access. 7 Schools in the area include Fernvale Primary School, Sengkang Green Primary School and Pei Hwa Secondary School. The Tampines Expressway (TPE) provides connectivity to the rest of Singapore.

    HOUGANG RIVERCOURT 8 Hougang RiverCourt is bounded by Tampines Road, Hougang Avenue 7 and Hougang Street 32. It has 285 flats comprising 155 units of 4-room, 83 units of 5-room and 47 units of Three-Generation (3Gen) flats with an internal floor area of about 115 sqm, which are purpose-built for multi-generation families. 9 The neighbourhood centre located within Hougang RiverCourt will be HDB’s fifth new-generation neighbourhood centre. It provides residents with much convenience through its wide array of shopping and dining options. These include a supermarket, a food court, food outlets, shops, and enrichment centres. There are landscaped roof gardens at the neighbourhood centre and multi-storey car park, with a variety of recreational and communal facilities such as children’s playground, fitness corners, etc to promote communal bonding among the residents. The roof garden and landscaped deck are open to the public. 10 Residents can also visit Hougang Town Centre where the Hougang MRT station, bus interchange and Cheng San Community Library are located. Shopping centres in the town include Hougang Mall and Kang Kar Mall. Hougang Community Club, Punggol Community Club, Hougang Stadium, Hougang Swimming Complex and Hougang Sports Hall cater to the leisure and recreational needs of residents. Residents may also patronize Heartland Mall and the neighbourhood centre near Kovan MRT station for more shopping and dining needs. 11 The schools in the town include Holy Innocents’ Primary and Holy Innocents’ High School, C.H.I.J. Our Lady of the Nativity (Primary School), Montfort Junior & Secondary School, Xinghua Primary School, Yuying Secondary School and Serangoon Junior College. The Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) provides connectivity to the rest of Singapore.

    NORTHSHORE STRAITSVIEW, WATERFRONT I @ NORTHSHORE and WATERFRONT II @ NORTHSHORE 12 This second batch of housing developments in Punggol Northshore district consists of three projects, namely Northshore StraitsView, Waterfront I @ Northshore and Waterfront II @ Northshore. The projects are bounded by Northshore Drive and Punggol Reservoir. The residents will be served by the Samudera LRT station. Residents can patronize the upcoming Northshore Plaza neighbourhood centre which will have a supermarket, eating houses, food outlets, shops and enrichment centres as well as a childcare centre. Waterway Point, an upcoming shopping mall, located at the Punggol town centre will provide more shopping and dining options when it is completed.     13 Punggol Northshore is HDB’s first Smart and eco-friendly district in Punggol Eco-Town. Northshore StraitsView, Waterfront I @ Northshore and Waterfront II @ Northshore will feature Smart technologies to bring about a more liveable, efficient, sustainable and safe living environment. These solutions include:

    Smart-Enabled Homes with infrastructure to support easy installation of smart systems

    Smart Car Park Management System (for Waterfront I @ Northshore and Waterfront II @ Northshore only) to adjust availability of lots for residents and visitors

    at different times of the day based on demand

    Smart Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System to optimise the deployment of resources for cleaner and fuss free waste disposal

    Smart Lighting which meets the needs of residents while reducing energy consumption

    Smart Irrigation which saves water while maintaining the extensive landscaped areas for the enjoyment of the residents

    14 Within Waterfront I @ Northshore and Waterfront II @ Northshore, there are accessible roof gardens located at various floors of the residential blocks where residents can enjoy open spaces for relaxation, family bonding and social interaction.

In Northshore StraitsView, roof gardens and a sky terrace are provided within the development and these are also accessible and open to the public. 15 Recreational choices are available at My Waterway@Punggol, Punggol Park Connector, Punggol Waterway Park and Punggol Point Park. Residents can also visit Punggol 21 Community Club which provides programmes and activities for interaction and bonding with others in the community. 16 The transportation network serving the town includes Punggol MRT/LRT station and bus interchange located at the Town Centre, the LRT network within Punggol and Tampines Expressway (TPE). Schools in the town include Punggol View Primary School, Punggol Green Primary School, Horizon Primary School, Greendale Primary and Secondary Schools, and Punggol Secondary School.

    TECK WHYE VISTA 17 Teck Whye Vista is bounded by Choa Chu Kang Road and Jalan Teck Whye and is a standalone block of 126 units of 2-room Flexi flats. It is near to Phoenix LRT station. Facilities to be provided within the development include a minimart, medical clinic and elderly facilities. There are two roof gardens at the 3rd storey and another at the 4th storey, which are accessible to residents and also open to the public. 18 A wide range of shops and eating outlets is available at Junction Ten, Teck Whye Shopping Centre, Keat Hong Shopping Centre and Sunshine Place. For leisure, the Chua Chu Kang Community Club and Pang Sua Park Connector are just a short distance away. More amenities are available in Choa Chu Kang Town Centre, such as Choa Chu Kang Public Library and Lot 1 Shoppers’ Mall. 19 Nearby schools include Teck Whye Primary and Secondary School, Chua Chu Kang Secondary School, Pioneer Junior College and ITE College West. The Kranji Expressway (KJE) provides connectivity to other parts of Singapore.

    WEST QUARRY @ BUKIT BATOK 20 West Quarry @ Bukit Batok is bounded by Bukit Batok West Avenue 8 and Bukit Batok West Avenue 9. It has 636 units comprising 337 units of 2-room Flexi, 79 units of 3-room and 220 units of 4-room flats. A childcare centre will be provided in the development. There is a roof garden on top of the multi-storey car park, which is accessible to residents and also open to the public. 21 Residents can enjoy a wide range of facilities and amenities in Bukit Batok town such as West Mall Shopping Centre, Bukit Batok Public Library, Bukit Batok Swimming Complex and Bukit Batok Community Club. Residents can also patronise the Bukit Batok West Shopping Centre, an HDB Neighbourhood Centre which offers a variety of goods and services.
