IBM Daksh Vs. HCL Technologies Pankaj Bali went after the bowlers from the word go when his captain called correctly. Openers added 94 runs from 9 overs wherein Pankaj contributed 60 runs. Pankaj scored 50 off 21 deliveries while he reached his century facing 67 balls. It was mainly due to superb knock of Pankaj Bali that IBM-Daksh scored 189 runs from allotted 25 overs. For HCL Technologies, Nitin bowled well in slog overs to take 3 wkts whereas Alok & Sukanta supported him by taking 2 wkts each. HCL Technologies did not get the required start to chase a huge target as their 3 batsmen were out for 35 runs only. Ashwini tried his level best but could not match the asking rate because wkts kept falling from other end. HCL Technologies were looking down the barrel when their 8 batsmen were back in pavilion on the score of 100 runs. It was mainly due to the superb efforts of Sukanta who made undefeated 34 runs that HCL Technologies could save the bonus point from this match and provide themselves with an outside chance to qualify for next stage even after losing 2 games. We at Eventus, applaud the efforts & sportsman spirit of HCL Technologies who opted to play in Cup category and made a mark for themselves amongst top 8 teams in corporate fraternity.
