Introduction

The universe is a tapestry of numbers.

Everywhere you look are numbers representing the ebb and flow of energy into and out of heavenly bodies big and small. You. Me. The world around us. It’s all represented in 11 numbers that can be derived from almost anything.

Those numbers are powerful tools for understanding the world around you - for observing and dissecting the meaning of things that might not make sense at first glance. The diverse and often conflicting components of your personality.

The strengths you bring to a relationship.

The weaknesses that can be exploited by those around you.

The way in which you approach the world and what that will do for you over the course of YEARS.

Numerology is a field as old as mathematics itself and with the recent surge in interest in it, we are starting to see that not only were people like Pythagoras on to something 2600 years ago, but we can learn SO MUCH about ourselves and the people in our lives just by studying these simple numbers.

In the next fifteen pages, I’m going to show you what all of this means. What you can learn from the numbers in YOUR name. The numbers in your actions and the people around you.

As you better understand your purpose in the world and how you interact with it on a primal level so deep you probably cannot detect it is there, you will learn how to find the ultimate path to your dream life - the exact route you need to take to reach an ideal state of being that few people can realize easily.

The first step is to open your mind. Whether you believe in numerology and have been reading about it and using it for the better part of your life or you are skeptical and reading this for another

reason, I want you to suspend disbelief for the next hour or so.

Disbelief over what numerology can do.

Over what it means. Over what YOU are capable of.

The universe is an endless, infinitely possible place in which you can do and achieve anything you put your mind to and right now I’m going to show you just one of the tools that can help you find that success.

Open your mind and feel the energy that you’re about to tap into and you will be astounded what that can mean for you in the future.

What Is Numerology?

Numerology is all about numbers. It’s the study of the numbers that make up you and me and everything around us, and more importantly how those numbers interact with the universe in which we exist.

It opens up a push button portrait of you and what comprises you - from per-sonality traits to the future you are meant to live and how it can be fulfilled using simple, accessible observations.

At the same time, it can provide a path to follow if you know exactly WHAT you are looking for. It’s a powerful tool to better understand the route you are current-ly taking and how it will transform into diverse new routes in the future.

It’s not new.

Numerology has been studied to some degree since the dawn of numbers them-selves in Ancient Babylonia and Egypt. Pythagoras, who was a genius math-ematician in his own right, is said to have developed much of what we consider numerology, and modern numerology has evolved rapidly as new research and publications have been conducted to show what this incredible field can uncover about the people it focuses on.

Breaking numerology and what it consists of into bite sized chunks is easy be-cause it is in effect such a simple way of looking at the world, and yet it is also such an effective tool.

The Basis for Numerological Study

The universe is made of energy.

Pure, raw energy that vibrates in any of a billion different frequencies. We know this for a fact as modern science has shown us time and again the intricacies of the subatomic scale.

Energy does in fact equal matter and vice versa in a world of quantum physics, and with each passing year we come to understand that much better the interplay

between that energy and the matter in our bodies.

Thousands of years before Einstein was theorizing the exact ratios, there were mathematicians and scientists who were developing these ideas - that the human body was a grid of different energies vibrating together to create the being that is you.

What numerology does is to measure those vibration rates and to determine the exact number of and qualities of the energy in each body measured.

The most amazing thing is how little information is actually needed to do this.

You don’t need complicated data about someone’s life. Just their name and a birth date to get started. And with that data you can start extrapolating almost ANYTHING about someone, from the way they are constructed and will live their lives moving forward to the way in which they have lived to date and how they interact with the people around them.

Why does this matter?

Because the vast majority of people are completely unaware of the energy in their body and how it interacts with the people around them.

We’ll come back to this shortly, but there are a lot of very important things you can do here to use this data and become a MORE engaged person in the world around you.

Calculating the Things You Need to Know

Let’s run a quick crash course on numerology and how it works.

For accurate readings and in-depth analysis, I recommend you see either an experienced numerologist or pick up one of the significantly more in-depth books on the subject. But the basics of the process are very simple.

In effect, ALL numbers in numerology are broken down into single digits - be-tween 1 and 9. There are two exceptions to this rule - the numberer 11 and the

number 22.

To break a number down into its base component you simple add all of the digits in it together.

So if you were born on the 17th, you would add those numbers together, 1+7 and get the number 8. That is the number read from “17”. This extends to longer numbers too. If you were born in 1953, the total would be 1+9+5+3 or “18” and that would become “9”.

If at any point, the total equals 11 or 22, the longer number can remain because these are considered “master numbers” and generally have much greater signifi-cance than any one standard single digit. Beyond that, however, every number or element in your life can be broken down into just a single digit.

It’s an astounding way to simplify things to a important degree, but it also has the effect of stripping out all biases, all distractions and all possible misreadings that might otherwise occur if you were to try a more subjective analysis. The bottom line is that the energy in your body, while life giving and part of the greater cosmic whole, is pure and has no intentions. Your attitude and approach to the world can affect the vibrations of that energy, as can the people you spend your time with, but it is still just a number on paper. By understanding those num-bers and what they mean, we can get a LOT of information from just a single digit.

Converting Names to Numbers

Names are just as important as birth dates in numerology and can be broken down just as effectively using a simple chart:

As you can see, every number in the alphabet corresponds to one digit in numer-ology. The resulting interpretations can be a string of single digits that represent a series of pieces of information about you or a single “life path” number for your

name.

On the surface, this seems so arbitrary, but consider for a moment just how much information a good numerologist can pull from these numbers - four major core elements and up to 20-30 modifiers that represent your personality.

At the same time, that data, when combined with that of the people in your life can be a MAJOR factor in determining so many things about your life.

You are getting a basic analysis of who you are and what your role is in the world and ultimately, how you will interact with the people around you from this very ba-sic data in your name and birthdate. Now let’s look at what that means and what you can do with it.

Using Numerology in Your Life

Numerology breaks down the data it collects into a number of different numbers that can represent various parts of your life. Life path numbers. Destiny number. Soul urge.

Let’s take a closer look at each and what they mean:

Life Path Number

This is the sum of your birth date digits and the traits you were born with, even before being given a name. This is the core of all numerology and relates strong-ly to astrology and the horoscope data that is also used in this field.

To get a Life Path Number, you add the month, day and year together and then reduce everything to a single digit.

Keep in mind that there are different ways to come to any one number and this will in effect change how you can reach that number and what it means for you.

Destiny Number

The Destiny Number is derived from the letters in your FULL birth name (includ-ing any middle names and not shortened in any way). This is also sometimes called the expression number.

The purpose of this number is to evaluate what you want to achieve in your life time. More specifically, it has long been seen as a breakdown of tasks that you “must” perform in your lifetime to fulfill your destiny. It is a spiritual mission even if it is not conscious and you may feel unfulfilled if you don’t accomplish this goal.

To get this number, you’ll add up the values of all of your names individually (us-ing the chart in the first section), then you will reduce each name to a single digit, then combine them and reduce to a single digit again.

Not only does this have a HUGE impact on your life, keep it in mind when nam-ing your own child.

Soul Urge Number

The Soul Urge is a slightly different number you can also derive from your name, this time taking into account ONLY vowels.

It is the the likes, dislikes, cravings, and disgusts that you keep hidden in your soul away from other people, even if you don’t realize it.

This is what you value most REGARDLESS of what your Life Path says you SHOULD care about - and is therefore a better representation of what you feel right now and what you may need to overcome in the future to achieve your des-tiny.

To get your Soul Urge number, add up all vowels in your full birth name using the chart in the lat section and then derive a single number form them.

Here’s where grammar can get you. The letter “Y” is a vowel if there is no other vowel in a syllable and if it is preceded by another vowel and sounds like one. And to throw another kink in there, a “W” is a vowel if it is preceded by a vowel and makes only a single sound. For example, in the name “Matthew”, the W is a vowel.

Inner Dreams Number

The last number is the Inner Dreams number and, you guessed it, it uses ONLY consonants (to complement the vowel-only Soul Urge. This can be anything you keep hidden inside but truly desire.

The desires, fantasies and dreams you carry around with you. It’s a modifier so it may not be a big factor in how you change your approach, but if it in anyway re-lates to the other numbers we’ve talked about, it’s a big deal and should be taken into account.

For example, if your destiny number is a 3, to be creative and build something, and your Inner Dream Number is also a 3, and you dream of expressing yourself with creative output, then you know what you should be focusing on.

Special Traits

Last but not least are special traits. When a number repeats in your name, it has greater significance. So we can look at the frequency that numbers generally appear in names and then measure them against how often they occur in YOUR name and get a better idea of certain traits.

On average, a name has 15-19 letters in it. The breakdown of numbers from there looks like this (on average):

1 - 32 - 13 - 24 - 15 - 46 - 27 - 18 - 19 - 3

If your name is a lot longer than the 19 average, you’ll have to adjust. The same goes for shorter names. If you have an average number as listed above, you have a pretty average number there.

If you are missing a number here that is a core number in your Life Path, Destiny, or Soul Urge, it can cause a deficiency too that you’ll need to compensate for. Does it matter that much? Not if you know it’s there, but it’s something to keep in mind as you form your habits and build a routine to support these changes.

As you can imagine, each of these numbers corresponds to a trait and you can see the effect of a deficiency or abundance of that number in your name.

This is a lot of data - there are a lot of numbers to sort through and each of them means something in your name, but don’t get overwhelmed. The bottom line is that this is a baseline - a sort of blueprint for how you were brought into this world and what you were meant to accomplish. If you don’t achieve those realities, then it doesn’t mean you have failed.

Rather if you feel you have failed and don’t know why, numerology can often show you what your expression and destiny SHOULD be and why you feel that sense of emptiness. It’s a way to see where you should and could be and then ultimately create a path to get to that point.

Evaluating the People Around You

It’s not flawless - in fact I’d warn you to be careful in how you approach the use of numerology when evaluating any one person you know in your life. The last thing you EVER want to do is make unfair assumptions about the people in your life based on the sometimes vague evaluations of numerology.

As you’ll learn in the next section, what you glean from these numbers is only a starting point - a general blueprint for what you COULD be. It’s not nailed down. You can make changes and SHOULD make changes but only if you’re willing and ready to recognize what that might mean for you in the near and long term.

So it would be equally unfair to assume that someone you know is exactly what their numbers say they are.

However, you can learn a LOT of information about the people around you and how you are destined naturally to interact with them using these numbers.

It’s more telling than something like astrology which relies only on a birthdate, and it allows you to really dig deep and better understand how the energy fre-quencies of both you and your loved ones interact.

Some examples of when this information will come in handy include:

•AtWork - Coworkers can be the most frustrating people you deal with. You see them for 40+ hours per week and yet you know very little about them, especially at first. Motivations, worries, fears, desires - most of the people you know won’t share these things up front and it can create confrontations be-tween you and them that don’t need to happen.

•DealingwithToughPeople - Tough people are those that seem to argue with everything you say, conflicting with you on a very fundamental level in ways that you can’t quite understand. Using numerology, you can adapt how you respond to those moments of head butting.

•MeetingOnline - If you meet someone online you don’t get the benefit of body language, spoken language, or any of the other cues that allow people to evaluate one another when they meet. Even with just a name or birth date you can do a lot to determine what type of person you’re about to meet if an offline meeting is inevitable.

•HandlingFamilyDisputes- You can’t cut a family member out of your life, so why not better understand WHY your conflicts are happening? Numerology helps you do just this.

I strongly discourage you from avoiding another person strictly because of the information provided by a numerologist, or worse, an online numerology quiz. But what you can do and what will help you better understand how you and the people around you are naturally likely to interact with each other, is to see these results and use them as a filter through which to evaluate problems you are AL-READY having.

It goes beyond the numbers of course.

Use those as a jumping off point and strive to understand the people around you.

Nine times out of ten, I tell people that a misunderstanding is because of unfair assumptions.

You’ve probably had this problem in relationships before. You assume that your partner thinks a certain way and at some point learn the opposite - either as a general observation of how men or women think or as a reflection of them on a personal level.

The problem is not that they are being a jerk or that they don’t understand you (at least not entirely) but that you and them are both making assumptions about the other based on what you think they SHOULD think. Numerology gives you a strong jumping off point to understanding someone’s possible motivations and mindset and in turn, allows you to better understand how they are going to respond to what you say and how you say it, and vice versa.

Here are a few examples of how this can be used to avoid conflict in otherwise

very manageable situations:

•WhatAreTheirMotivations- What drives someone to act as they do? Are they eager for advancement at work? Do they want to be successful at home? Do they like owning certain things? Are they eager for more attention? Use every tool at your disposal, including basic observation to determine what is driving them and why.

•WhatIsTheirModeofThought - What processes do they go through in com-ing to conclusions about you or themselves? Are they the type to assume the worst about someone? Are they very defensive? Are they actively aggres-sive? Why?

•WhatIsTheirDestinyinLife - Without asking someone point blank you’ll never know their goals in life, but you can better understand their destiny and what someone is born to accomplish, and more importantly if they are on the track to achieve it.

•AreYouontheSameWavelength- Finally, are you on the same wavelength with that other person. Comparing notes is not always accurate, but on a very basic level it allows you to see just how close the two of you are to meshing in terms of goals and desires. Are you on the same wavelength? If not can you change your expectations to compensate for those differences?

More often than not, you’ll find that your energies are more compatible than you realize - you just need to change how you approach one another and the way in which you evaluate and interpret those energies on a personal level.

To put it a little simpler, you need to keep an open mind.

And with numerology, you’ll know WHAT you’re keeping an open mind for.

Going Beyond Online Calculators

Do a quick search for “numerology calculator” and you’ll find dozens of websites promising to unlock the secrets of the universe for you if you just enter your name and birthdate.

It’s possible to program a machine to tell you a few relatively basic pieces of information about you when you enter both of these, but it’s the same as a thera-pist offering advice after seeing your online dating profile.

It’s an incomplete picture that doesn’t capture YOU and what you need to know about your life.

A true numerological approach is much more diverse and offers a much greater breakdown of information about you and what you will do in your life.

It’s an important distinction, because it’s going to impact how you approach this entire process.

For example, are you in a place in which you can make changes based on what you learn? Numerology provides a lot of data, but how do you take action on it? Here are just a few of the things you need to be ready and willing to do:

•MakeSignificantHabitChanges - Your life is filled with habits. Unconscious actions you take every single day based on cues you’ve learned to respond to without thinking. To make significant change in your life, you need to recog-nize these habits and change the routines - altering how you interact with the world on a very fundamental level.

•DevoteTimetoYourself- Significant personal change cannot be realized without first spending time alone. You need time to think, evaluate, experi-ence, and improve. You can’t change overnight. Nor can you change without putting in a bit of hard work, but more important than anything else is the abil-ity to actually sit down and make those changes and that’s all related to the time you give yourself.

•TakeCareofMindANDBody - Mental habits become all but impossible to maintain if you don’t have a strong physical foundation on which to build. Take

care of your body and your mind will follow. This means a daily exercise rou-tine, a healthy diet with minimal stimulants and depressants (coffee and alco-hol), and no processed foods. These foods are filled with toxins that can block the flows of energy in your body. No matter how great your motivation and willpower, you will feel overwhelmed if you don’t allow your body the energy it needs to make changes.

•EvaluateWhoYouSurroundYourselfWith - More on this in a bit, but always pay close attention to the people you surround yourself with every day. Nega-tive energy will breed negative energy. Positive energy will do the same and the most important thing you can do for yourself, is to bask in the latter, both from your own thoughts and those of people around you.

These four things, when done properly will determine what you can realistically accomplish in any given day using the information you’ve gleamed from numerol-ogy.

If I tell you your name is “3”, what does that truly mean?

The characteristics of the number 3 are expression, verbalization, socialization and the arts - a joy of living. How can you use this information to make changes in your life though?

There are so many ways to interpret this data, but most importantly, you need to be willing to open your mind to what it could mean about you and the people around you. If you know your number is 3, you know that you will get great joy out of being creative. Are you tapping into your creative outlets effectively?

Evaluate why you feel unfulfilled in life and you’ll see that some of the things missing are those that fit your personality traits as outlined by your life numbers. That is a fantastic place to start making changes.

Evaluating Your Numbers for Missing Opportunities

Without reproducing an entire book’s worth of numerological analyses, I want to discuss how to use the information from these analyses to make changes.

Your number will almost certainly represent something about who you WANT to be, even if you don’t realize it.

The secret destiny of a number 3, for example is to be creative through writing, speaking, singing, acting or teaching. If your number is 3, you’d need to ask your-self - amIdoingthesethingsand if not, whatcanIdotochangethat?

When a print out of your numbers is plopped in front of you, the next step is to take time and evaluate what is missing from your life so you can start making changes and getting your energies back into the right vibration frequency.

You can do this with

•Meditation - Meditation has been scientifically proven to enhance mental acu-ity and focus, increase productivity, lower heart rate and certain conditions like high blood pressure, and allow people to relax more easily. It’s a workout for the mind and a vital part of any routine designed to enhance mental flexibility and make significant changes to these factors.

•AloneTime - You need time to do these things. This manifests in a number of ways. The time needed to unwind, the mental energy it takes to focus internal-ly, and the energy required to make changes in your daily routine and habits.

•Reflection - Go beyond time alone, however. Sitting and watching TV by yourself may be relaxing, but it doesn’t give you the time needed to reflect on what happened and why it happened. Set aside time every day for honest reflection. Write in a journal and record what you observe about your life, the changes you’ve made, and how it works in tandem with your numbers.

•Affirmation - Affirmation is a powerful tool to implant new positive thoughts in your mind. Choose something you want to change, create a powerful affirma-tion and repeat it for five minutes every day over the course of 2-3 months. It should be ONLY positive though. Focus on things you want to change like confidence, self-esteem, social activeness and more. For example, you could tell yourself IamaconfidentwomancapableofanythingIputmymindto. It’s general but it works to install that belief in your subconscious, a vital tool for bringing your destiny to fruition.

•Visualization - Finally, learn to visualize the future you want to live. Visualiza-tion is a powerful tool for a number of reasons, but most importantly, it teaches your mind to succeed. By visualizing how success will look and what you

will do to reach that point, you can “practice” getting here, even well before it becomes a reality. Spend 5-10 minutes a day visualizing what your future will look like and how you will achieve your goals. Now visualize how you get there.

These mental exercises are designed to put your conscious mind in line with your subconscious mind in a way that SUPPORTS the hidden desires that have for so long been ignored in the back of your mind.

The things that are represented by these numbers are in effect a reflection of who you were born to be. If that is being ignored, you can take action to open up your mind to the realities of what you want to become.

Finally, you need to make a habit of doing this on a daily basis.

Forming habits is all about recognizing the opportunities in your life you have to create new cues, routines, and rewards.

Numerology gives you the blueprint needed to do just that. If you know what your goals are, it’s a lot easier to open your mind to the things that you WANT to ac-complish.

If you know your destiny is to be a leader, you may want to open up around other people and find a way to be more confident in expressing your opinion. If your destiny is to be a supporting force for others, maybe that teaching degree you’ve been contemplating IS the best fit for you.

It’s a matter of interpretation - numerology will never tell you exactly what to do.

It won’t lay out a step by step blueprint you can follow in your life to achieve whatever your goals are. But it WILL tell you what you are missing. What you are destined for. What your secret desires may be. That information is a vital tool in putting your life on track with other tools that have been shown to work so effec-tively for so many people.

Making Numerology a Part of Your Life

I’ve described numerology and what it provides to a lot of people in my life.

Some of them were skeptical. Others laughed and walked away. But quite a few have discovered what so many other people have over the course of the last 3,000 years - that this is very real, very effective way of understanding what is happening in your mind, even when you don’t realize it.

You have free will. You can decide what you want to do in life, and your destiny may not be your reality. But when you feel lost.

When you feel like something is missing in life.

When you feel out of sync - like you fell off of an invisible track and can’t get back on for whatever reason - then there is something wrong. Some invisible problem that you cannot quite touch and that is somehow missing in your life.

You are running out of frequency and that can be immensely uncomfortable, creating physical and emotional stress in ways that will fundamentally affect how you interact with the world around you.

With numerology you can understand where you strayed. Where you fell off the track and what your destiny truly is.

You can understand what you are missing, why you are missing it, and even why some people in your life are just a bad fit.

It’s not a universal blueprint.

It won’t solve all of your problems.

You can’t change everything about yourself overnight, and you probably shouldn’t want to. But with the right approach and a keen understanding of what numerology en-tails, you can start evaluating your life and how you are living off the track.
