PRE-KINDERGARTEN NEWSLast Wednesday the PK3 & 5 children and staff enjoyed dressing up for the day. A welcoming party quickly gathered at the door, eagerly awaiting each new character. A fun day was had by all! By the time the VIM is emailed the 2 and 3-Day Pre-kinder Christmas concerts will be over. It was fantastic that so many family and friends could be present

for an important chapter in a Pre-Kinder child’s life. We look forward to our picnic at Peace Park next Wednesday with our families to conclude our very action-packed year in Pre-kindergarten. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and relaxing holiday.

Reminders:Sat Nov 28: 12 noon - Pre-Kinder Disco at the Panorama Hotel.Wed Dec 2: 11am-1pm - Pre-Kinder picnic @ Peace Park near the Girl Guide HallKind Regards, Deb Porter

10 YEARS CRICKET We played at Raglan, our opposing team was City Colts. Everyone batted very well and not too many wides. Our supporting of each other could have been better. Because it was on average we lost. Lucas bowled really well and Shubang took the only wicket of the match. Nick Fogo scored 15 runs. Player of the match went to James Burgess. A great game where we played like 20/20. Callum McCymont

12 YEARS RED CRICKET Last Saturday ASC Red started their two week game against St Pat’s Blue. It was a great game and it was close at the end. Andy Jackman caught two amazing balls, Mitch Nelson caught one, Tom Siede caught one and Jono Gardiner got 3 wickets!! Gussy Rendall did amazing wicket keeping. Andy Jackman also did extremely well in his batting hitting 32 runs and he hit 7 fours. In the end ASC was on 8 for 76 and Saint Pat’s are on 5 for 98. Thanks for to the scorers, the umpires, Mr. Siede and to the parents for cheering us on. Mitch Nelson

12 YEARS BLUE CRICKET On Saturday 21 November All Saints’ Blue played St Pat’s Red. All Saints’ won the toss and chose to field first. Hugo Goodlet and Will Purvis opened the bowling attack and restricted the runs. Our first wicket came by Digby Sharpham bowling an excellent delivery and Isaac Poole taking a brilliant catch. Our second wicket came thanks to Isaac Poole bowling and Hugo Goodlet taking another good catch. Overall, St Pat’s Red made 94 runs. Will Munro and Patrick Saint opened the batting for All Saints’. Patrick got out by accidently hitting his stumps with his bat. Will got out next by an unplayable ball that hit the stumps. Then Henry Palmer and Isaac Poole started to fire-up the run-rate by smashing a few fours. Overall, All Saints’ got up to 74 runs. Week two of the match is to continue next Saturday the 28th November, the last match for this year. Robert Jeffries

KANGA 9sHuge news from the Kanga U9s – the boys had their first win in nearly two seasons! Every player should be justly proud of

both their individual contributions and also their teamwork, which combined, set them up for their first victory. Quick summary: Bushrangers scored 86 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at an average of

21.5. ASC chased them down scoring 92 also for the loss of 4 wickets giving them an average of 23. Captain and Player of the match: Blake. Wicket takers: Aston, Baxter, Vidu, and special mention for a fantastic return catch off his own bowling to Lachie M. Loved the fist pump Munzy - great passion! But it was all about the batting. The previous highest score by the team was 61, but on this day the ball striking was clean, and the running between wickets was slick. This meant the singles became 2s, the 2s became 3s, and there was even a couple of all-run 4s. It truly was a team effort. Half the team got into double figures for the first time this season, but just as importantly, even those that didn’t score highly individually, ran really well with their team mates to contribute to the higher overall score. Congratulations Aston, Banjo, Bax, Blake, Finn, Lachie M, Lachie N, Lachie P, Oscar and Vidu.

O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!Well we have made it to that time of the year again…just a few days left and school is done for another year. The shops are filled with decorations and promotions. There are songs about snow and reindeer and the birth of a baby. It must be nearly Christmas! It is! It is!Now I don’t want to put you in a panic but as you read this there are less than thirty days until Christmas. Less than thirty days to buy the presents, decorate the house, plan the Christmas Day menu, and work out who is coming over or where whose house you’re going to. It’s enough to make you exhausted already. Let me encourage you to take some time out and join with us in one of

our two Carol’s Services next Wednesday; Junior School at 5.30pm and Senior School at 7.00pm, with both being held at All Saints’ Cathedral. These events promise to be another entertaining and respectful way for us to end the year and enter into the Christmas season. The services will be led by the students with many involved in Bible readings, prayers, and music. Our Prefects will also be running a Tear Australia Useful Gifts Shop. If you are looking for a gift that lasts and lasts bring some cash and see the prefects. So come, adore him, he is Christ the Lord! With every blessing,Rev. Tony Card.
