OUR BROTHER
Deacon Davies Status:
Deacon Davies remains
hospitalized but is no longer in
a coma. The men’s ministry
needs to continue to reach out
to him and his family. His wife
is expecting a child so we
want to be a blessing to them
financially. The Davies Fund
was formed at the meeting
with a goal of blessing the
Davies family with $1,000 to
help them through their
troubled times. Brother Barry
Hull was collecting the funds.
We collected $230 towards
the goal amount at the
meeting. Any questions about
visitation should be
coordinated through Deacon
Coward.

The Timothy Project is Coming Back Jan. 2015
Expository Preaching “A Twenty First Century Priority” It is an enormous privilege to be called to
preach in the contemporary world, and to
be a biblical expositor! For one then
stands in the pulpit, with God's Word in
his hands, God's Spirit in his heart, God's
people before his eyes, waiting
expectantly for God's voice to be heard
and obeyed. ------John Stott
"Timothy Project Encouraging Excellence"
With this great privilege comes an equally important
responsibility. We all need to carry out our sacred duty
to exposition at the highest level of excellence, an
excellence that extends even to our introductions,
illustrations, and conclusions."

Need.
Health Tips for Men, know your options.
If you don’t know what your
prostate is or what it does, you’re
certainly not alone: most men
don’t. But you really should.
More than 30 million men suffer
from prostate conditions that
negatively affect their quality of
life.
Over 50% of men in their 60s
and as many as 90% in their 70s
or older have symptoms of an
enlarged prostate (BPH).
Each year over 230,000 men will
be diagnosed with prostate
cancer and about 30,000 will die
of it.
Prostatitis is an issue for men of
all ages and affects 35% of men
aged 50 and older.

ITINERARY
Men’s Involvement in Ministries
Brother Bernard Moore spoke on
having a male presence as greeters.
There is nothing better for a man to
see a man greeting him when coming
to the church. He is looking for
volunteers to assist Brother Moore as
a greeter.
Deacon James Crump addressed the
group with a request for additional
males within the usher’s ministry. He
is currently the only male on the
usher board and needs more men to
become ushers.
Monthly Meeting Highlights:
Men’s Ministry Welcome Card
The men have a need for a welcome
card to be created. The purpose of
the card is to have the church
information and to be able to get the
new male’s information so the Men’s
ministry can personally contact him
and make him feel welcome to the
church. Bro. Wardell Brantley
agreed to design the card.
