BACK With size 7 needles, cast on 120 sts. Work in K3, P2 ribbing until back measures 17” or desired length to armhole. Bind off 10 sts at the beg of the next two rows. Dec 1 st each side every row 18 times. Dec 1 st each side every 3rd row 13 times. Bind off remaining sts. FRONTS (Make two reversing shaping) With size 7 needles cast on 59 sts. Work Row 1 of Waves & Eyelets pattern (22 sts), PM, work Row 1 of Diamonds & Bobbles pattern (15 sts), PM, work Row 1 of Waves & Eyelets pattern (22 sts). Work patterns as established until front measures 17” or desired length to armhole. Work armhole shaping as for back and at the same time when piece measures 6” above armhole shaping begin neck shaping. At neck edge, bind off 6 sts. Bind off 2 sts at neck edge 2 times. Dec. 1 st at neck edge every other row 7 times. Continue shaping as for back. Bind off. SLEEVES With size 7 needles cast on 55 sts. Work in K2, P3 ribbing for 6”. Next row: Reverse the ribbing to K3, P2 (as for back so when cuff turned up it will match) and continue for rest of sleeve. Keeping pattern correct, inc 1 st on ea side every 4th row 3 times, then every 6th row 13 times. Continue until piece measures 20” or desired length to armhole (measuring with cuff turned up). Cap Shaping: Bind off 10 sts on each side next 2 rows. On next right side row dec 1 st each side, then dec 1 st each side every row 13 times. Dec 1 st each side every 3rd row 17 times. Bind off remaining. FINISHING Block pieces. Join shoulders, set in sleeves, sew sleeve seams and side seams. Weave in all ends. NECK BAND With right side facing using smaller needles, pick up and knit 115 sts evenly around neck edge. Work in K3, P2 ribbing for 9” and bind off. Collar will be folded in half encasing the neck band and stitched down later. FRONT BANDS With size 5 needles and right side facing for left front begin picking up and knitting sts half way down front edge of neck band (4 ½”) Pick up 140sts evenly down front edge. Work in K3, P2 ribbing for 1 ½” and bind off loosely in ribbing. Mark for 8 buttons evenly spaced placing one at bottom of neck band. Work right side band placing button holes at markers by working a YO, K2 tog. Turn top of neck band to the back and stitch down. Sew on buttons.
