requirements needed to establish a chapter of Alpha Rho Chi. Advised students on

[2016-2017], Theodorus [2015-2016], and Agamedes [2015-2016] colonies.
S P E C I A L P R O J E C T S
Costume Guide [Fall 2015]
Led a team through the production of a guide designed to instruct the proper design
and assembly methods of Ritual costumes. Worked with a sketch artist to create
accurate depictions of each costume based on their description, instructions
provided, and historical precedent. Oversaw the construction of costumes based on
the instructions provided to ensure accuracy. Distributed at Leadership Conference
at The University of Washington in 2015.
The Rise [Fall 2014]
Attended the Olynthius installation to oversee the initiation of a wheelchair bound
candidate. Documented the process of the candidate going through Ritual, noting the
changes that needed to be taken into consideration for a wheelchair. Generated a set
of diagrams and reported observations showing how spaces were adapted to
accommodate a wheelchair and the unique travel pattern. Issued at Leadership
Conference at Florida International University in 2014.
Policies and Procedures Manual [Fall 2014]
Developed template document that would serve as the national standard for the
Policies and Procedure Manual. Incorporated into the colony education program and
shortly after used by the regional directors to provide to chapters.

Worthy Advisor [2014]
Led initiative to examine and update the chapter’s Constitution and Bylaws to stay
updated with national standards. Served as a member of the executive board,
providing insight on pivotal decisions to make based on past personal experiences
and knowledge of historical precedent regarding the chapter and national fraternity.
Worthy Architect [2013-2014]
Led the weekly chapter meeting, ensuring all necessary items were addressed in a
reasonable time frame. Served as the chapter’s delegate at Interfraternity Council
meetings where fraternity presidents voiced organizational concerns and
collaborated to improve the Greek community, university, and campus life.
Worthy Associate Architect [2012-2013]
Oversaw professional, philanthropic, and activities committees, attending committee
meetings to observe the progress of event planning and provide insight where
needed. Led a chapter wide initiative to strengthen bonds with nearby chapters
through a series of social events and visits to other universities.
Activities Chair [2012-2014]
Planned and organized social activities aimed at helping strengthen the bond
between brothers of the chapter. Planned, organized, and hosted the chapter’s annual
formal event. Tasks included room reservation, catering arrangement, event
advertising, and distributing invitations to other chapters and alumni.
Ritual Director [2011-2013]
Led initiative to evaluate the chapter’s
pledging process to ensure new members
were receiving a pledging and initiation
experience following national standards.
Created a schedule of events for the
chapter’s initiation. Attended other chapters’
initiations to gain an understanding of
alternative methods and provided insight on
possible changes to make as needed.
House Manager [2011-2012]
Created a weekly chores list that all tenants
and brothers were required to complete to
maintain an orderly house. Organized an
annual work weekend where actives and
alumni would work together on projects
intended to improve areas of the house in
need of repair. Served as the chapter’s
liaison with the borough of State College.
Pledge Educator [2011]
Created and followed a weekly lesson plan
to be completed over the course of the
semester. Led weekly lectures for the pledge
class. Assigned a pledge project for the class
to complete over the course of the semester.
Fundraising Chair [2010, 2013]
Secured a water stand at the football stadium
as a main source of fundraising during the
football season. Registered the chapter to
participate in various percentage based
fundraising events with local businesses.
Webmaster [2010, 2012]
Managed the chapter’s website, updating it
throughout the semester as required. Created
and managed various social media accounts
for the chapter.
