The Traffic Guard is a system composed by a camera which includes Artificial Vision software for Traffic image analysis. The Traffic Guard is based on "virtual" loops and on vehicle tracking, the combination of both Machine Vision techniques gives to the system a top performance level.

The virtual loop works like a conventional electromagnetic loop, but instead of being installed in a road, , which requires road work, it is only necessary to place the camera and draw the loop in the picture. The use of the tracking algorithms improve the outcome of the “virtual” loops (both technologies are used to detect the vehicle) and allows the system to have more capabilities as detecting forbidden turns.
