BrighT deSign The unique design solution which utilizes the combination of high quality material like ano-dised aluminium and hPl looks modern and sophisticated. A lot of clever elements enable easy and friendly manipulation with the bed. Pure design, minimum inaccessible cleaning spaces and durability of materials follow the trends in hospital infection control.

AuToregreSSionThe positioning mechanism enables continuous extension of the space in the pelvic area by 11 cm. This leads to the reduction of pressure between the mattress and tissue and actively supports the prevention of bed sores in the pelvic area. The autoregression increases the patient‘s comfort in the sitting position – the abdomen and pelvis are not excessively compressed.

Column ConSTruCTionThe unique patented solution ensures high stability and functionality with a safe working load of 230 kg. The column construction allows to set the bed to Trendelenburg, reverse Trendelenburg and Cardiac chair positions. The columns consist of smooth aluminium profiles without gaps and joints difficult to clean. The bed‘s easy hygiene concept is supported by the technical solution.

SiderAilS SoluTionThe full-length siderails are effective individual protection against falls. The height of the siderails (41 cm over the mattress platform) makes it compatible with most active and pas-sive mattresses. Because the siderails cover the whole length of the mattress platform there are no gaps where the patient could unexpec-tedly fall down. Full-length siderails include a te-lescopic mechanism which makes it possible to extend the length of the mattress platform by 15 cm or shorten it by 4 cm.

go SAFeTY BuTTonThe safety go button concept protects the patient against in-jury arising from any sponta-neous movement of the bed. The go button activates the bed controls for 3 minutes. 3 minutes after the button is pressed, the controls automat-ically deactivate so they only work the moment the bed is positioned intentionally. on the contrary, in unguarded moments the controls are in-active and the bed’s actuators cannot be spontaneously ac-tivated.

SUPERVISOR CONTROL PANELThe Supervisory nurse control with its ergonomic shape and clear panel graphics is user-friendly.

HANDSETA practical control for the client and nurse contains controls for the bed’s basic positions, including a backrest and calfrest tilt adjustment of the mattress platform height.

PATIENT SATELLITESymbols for controlling individual functions are large and clearly visible. The buttons are distinguished by various colours with embossed symbols for clients with bad eyesight.

FOOT CONTROLS Foot controls are located on the bed undercarriage on both sides enabling practical and easy touch-free adjustment of the height of mattress platform.

1 SIDERAILS The bed’s full-length siderails provide the patient protection against a fall. This solution allows the extension of the mattress platform.

� REmOVAbLE bED ENDS The HPL bed ends with aluminium side columns are an important aesthetic feature. The upper aluminium handrail is used for easy handling when transporting the bed.

� SUPERVISOR NURSE CONTROL All the bed positions can be adjusted using the central nurse control. It contains a memory of frequently used positions, GO button, STOP button and battery capacity and lifetime indicator.un

eASY hAndling oF The Bed easy handling of the bed during transport of clients contributes to reducing the work load of nurses and other nursing staff. The central 5th castor significantly improves the bed’s transport features. in places with inadequate space (turns, rooms) the 5th castor can be used to manoeuvre the bed virtually in one spot with-out needing to overtake and move backwards.on the contrary, the 5th castor can be used on long corridors without swerving the bed – it maintains a straight direction.manoeuvring with a bed equipped with a 5th castor is not complicated even when only one person steers the bed. standard bed

� LINEN SHELF The linen shelf can hold bedding when the bed is changed and during patient hygiene. The Supervisor nurse control can also be stored on the linen shelf.

� SATELLITE ON THE FLEXIbLE ARm The control feature on the patient’s satellite is within reach of the patient and the nurse can use it as well.

6 mATTRESS PLATFORm Four-section mattress platform is adjustable with the aid of actuators. Its surface consists of removable, easily washable plastic parts.

7 COLUmNS Electric lifting units placed in two columns enable the mattress platform height adjustment and other positions (Trendelenburg, Reverse Trendelenburg). The column construction ensures the bed’s perfect stability.

8 FOOT CONTROLS The bed height controls are placed on both sides of the bed. The controls are protected against spontaneous activation by a mechanical barrier.

9 CASTORS The 150 mm in diameter castors are available in the Tente PJP.

10 ELEGANZA ASSIST HANDLE The handle allows the patient to get off the bed safely even without the assistance of another person.

The Altura Thema bed uses the same base as the other two variants of the Altura bed. Both variants have been primarily developed for use in nursing care, however the Altura domea can also be used in healthcare.
