Screen cleaningThere are many different screen cleaning pro-

ducts on the market, and customers receive

varying advice on the matter from both flat

screen manufacturers and distributors. Flat

screen surfaces differ in quality although most

of them are made of plastic. Plastic surfaces

are very sensitive and are easily damaged or

scratched by daily use and cleaning. Tests

show that the use of the wrong cloth, such as

normal housekeeping cloths, can leave serious

scratches on the surface even after cleaning

only a few times. AM uses only microfibre

produced with round fibres and soft ends that

ensure that the material itself does not cause

microscopic scratches.

Correct fluid and cloth are importantA comparison test was made where 2 sets

of 8 different brands of used flat screens

were intensively subjected to moisture and

frequent cleaning: one set cleaned with 100%

IPA (alcohol that is used in many cleaning

products) cleaning fluid, and the other with

AM’s water-based cleaning solution. The test

showed clear results. After only 2 days the

screens exposed to IPA showed clear physical

signs of being affected. The IPA permeated

through microscopic scratches and pores

in the surface and caused the underlying

material to bubble up. It is clear that even

small “invisible” scratches are the culprit in the

permeation of the IPA. Even after 3 months of

exposure and cleaning with AM’s water-based

formula, none of the screen surfaces showed

any form of visible effect, other than

a clean screen!

The importance of using the correct cleaning

AM screen cleaner formulaAM’s specially developed water-based screen

cleaner formula contains no IPA or other

alcohol. Our formula is effective, but also

gentle. AM’s screen cleaner fluid can be used

on all types of screens and surfaces.

Bacteria on your keyboardWhen was the last time you looked at your

keyboard? – Really looked! During the

course of the day, we touch thousands of

different things that others have touched.

Subsequently, people sit down at their

keyboards and merrily type away. You sneeze,

spill a little coffee or soda, perhaps a few

crumbs also fall down into your keyboard.

After a while, a good mixture is formed that

creates a breeding ground for bacteria – quite

a lot of bacteria. A study performed by an

American research center has shown that

there are approx. 510 bacteria per square

centimeter on a keyboard in a normal office

environment. There are only 8 bacteria per

square centimeter on a toilet seat. Where

are you going to eat your next meal? When a

Canadian hospital determined that a malicious

bacteria infection had spread via their shared

keyboards, they had no choice but to throw

the infected keyboards out in order to stop it

from spreading. IPA is a very effective bacteria-

killer, while it also dissolves grease and dirt.

IPA dissolves filth, not the printing or anything

else. AM keyboard cleaner is based on IPA and

a number of other active washing substances

that make for a qui ck and efficient cleaning of

the keyboard.

Touch screens are much harder to clean than

ordinary flat screens. At the same time they

get greasy and dirty after just seconds of use.

Bacteria from fingers are spread all over the

screen just like at your ordinary keyboard.

Ordinary screen cleaners will not make a

proper cleaning job on these screens. AM

Denmark have developed a special solution

to this problem - the OneClean Touch Screen

Cleaner™. The producers of Touch screens

have made the surface much tougher and

more resistant to all kinds of both physical and

chemical attacks than ordinary flat screens.

The AM Touch Screen Cleaning™ solution will

remove even hard to remove grease, dirt and

even bacteria from the screen and casing.

AM ProClean

Traditionally screen and keyboard cleaning is

done either by using a cloth and some fluid

like AM Anti-run-gel Screen Cleaner or by

spraying and wiping with a device like AM

OneClean. Though both traditional methods

are being both effective, quite fast and give

a good result, there are now a different way

to do it.

In a professional cleaning situation your

body is constantly under bombardments with

chemicals and you do ahe same movement

all over again - often under difficult situations

and limited time.

The new AM ProClean program for Screen

and Keyboard cleaning has by rethinking

ergonomics and environmental impact

solved a range of the problems involved in

professional cleaning:

HandlingThe ergonomic shape, the weight, the angle

of the firm grip and the spray button operated

by the strongest finger (the thumb) leads

to an operation of the cleaning process that

can be done over and over again without

stressing the physics. There is no contact with

any cleaning liquids during operation. The

cleaning action requires only one hand (left or

right) and is very fast.

ChemicalsThe content of the fluids developed for these

products are as few and mild as possible to

produce yet still very effective. The active

soap is the same that you will find in your

ordinary shampoo.

Spray/fluid distributionThese new products are spray-less. No

aerosols will be spread into the room during

operation. Free aerosols can be very irritating

to the mouth and lungs, even though they

do not contain any dangerous substances.

These products have been fitted with a new

innovative internal fluid system developed by

AM. This system will when used properly not

allow any contact between the chemicals and

the skin of the operator.

Allergy and irritationDaily contact with chemicals will often lead to

irritation or permanent allergy. Daily contact

through, skin, mouth or lungs even in very low

doses or concentration can lead to this. The

new spray and contact-less cleaning system

developed by AM Denmark, will dramatically

reduce the contact with chemicals to the

operator. As there is no fluid contact to skin

or no contact to aerosols to the lungs the risk

of allergy or illness is reduced to an absolute

minimum.

EnvironmentThe bottles are non-PVC, made from PET

plastic and can be recycled. The handle is

made from durable ABS plastic, but can be

dismantled and recycled. All parts of the

handle are clearly marked internally for

maximal recycling. Each bottle of cleaning

fluid will clean app. 500 screens or keyboards.

RefillsThe sponges can be removed and washed

for reuse, both the screen and the keyboard

sponge is very durable under normal

circumstances. The Screen and Keyboard

sponges can not be mounted false due to the

fool proof mounting system. Bottles with fluid

can be bought as refills. The bottles can not

be mounted false due to a fool proof mounting

system that not allows either the screen or

keyboard bottles to be mounted in the wrong

handle.

Music that skips, images that freeze, sections that disappear, games that block... it is most certainly your disc needs to be cleaned

Optical discs - why they don’t workThe laser beam is reflected in plastic surfaces. A scratch most often takes the form of a V-shaped

groove on the surface of the plastic. When the laser runs over the scratch, an erroneous reading

takes place. Most of the disc players today can compensate for some erroneous reading; however

the more numerous and the worse the scratches, the poorer the reading.

With sufficiently many or deep scratches, it is no longer possible to play the disc. Scratches in the

direction of play are the worst, since they confuse the player to the maximum extent. Scratches

on the image side ruin the reflective effect and thus the reading. Dirt can have the same effect as

scratches.

As a rule, it is enough to clean a disc, however if the disc is scratched it can in most cases be

repaired. AM offers a number of products for both the cleaning and the repair of discs.

EVA Camera BagsThese solid bags in clear design take care of

your digital camera. The EVA bag is coated

with wear-resistant and weather-resistant

1000D Nylon and it is lined with soft Lycra,

which ensures comfort and safety for your

camera. A detachable carrying strap and a

shoulder strap for the large model enables

comfortable transport. Memory cards can be

stored in a separate pocket inside the bag so

you always can have extra storage with you.

The bags are available in four sizes and will
