Professional SynopsisOrganization: ERICSSON GLOBAL INDIA PVT.LTD (EGIL)Project @ Ericsson:Project: - Telstra IPTVCustomer: TelstraExperience: - June 2015 - Till DateDesignation: CDN Engineer- Telstra IPTV CDNaaS AustraliaDescription: Telstra is using CDNaaS Content Delivery Network as a Service MDN 3.1, Token based subscription, and Portal based EPG. Supported Delivery Formats are MSS, HDS, HLS, HSS and MPEG Dash with ABR for Multi Screens and the request is HTTP based. CDNaaS is a brand new technology (MDN 3.1).
Roles and responsibilities: Provide Tier 2 support to commercially deployed in IPTV/CDN operation and able to
troubleshoot all types’ issues independently within agreed SLA. Good understanding of Ericsson MDN (Media Delivery Network) 3.1 solutions. Involved in automation of tasks such as Heath check-up scripts, Backup scripts. Manage routine maintenance of the Media Delivery Network like Health Check-up, Back-up. Involved in the project since the integration phase which is Ericsson GSC India’s first CDN
project. Executed cases in close involvement with solution Architect for Request Router, Core Cache,
Edge cache, Different requests and delivery methods. Probes for Caches and Origin servers. Performed acceptance testing and involved in system software upgrades. Involved in knowledge transfer and handover from integration team and same is passed to the
new team members via various training session. End User Geo-IP Routing & Proximity Routing. Preparing & providing RCA (Root Cause analysis) within specified SLA for upper level issues. Preparing & evaluating MOP (Method of Procedure) for different technical activities to be
performed in network. Splunk, Nagios, observium and MDN monitoring with SNMP checks and managing the solution
catering live traffic. Performance Monitoring of IPTV delivery through various Monitoring Tools in solution.
Handling various cases like customer complaint, 3PP hardware cases (VMWare, HP, F5 and Extreme) and internal customer support request.
Technical Knowledge Work Experience on Tools like Win SCP, Nagios Xi, Observium Monitoring tool, MDN UI, Splunk,
Putty, VMWare vsphere client 5.5, BMC Remedy 8.0 Well versed with Software tools such as MS Office, MS Excel, Power point, Word, MS Outlook
2010. Linux/RHEL 7.0/RHEL 6.0/Shell Scripting Basic knowledge of C language and SQL. Knowledge of Protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, Unicast/Multicast
