RE SUPPLIES FOR STUDENTS.
Books, stationery, pencils etc are supplied from the school office as an accomodation to the student. It is not our purpose to make a profit on such things. We expect to sell them to the students practic- a H y at cost. Thus the student benefits by the accomodation.
In order to keep down expenses we find it necessary to require a cash payment when supplies are secured.
At the beginning of the school ye?r the amount needed for supplies is large, compared, with the rest of the year. Consequently a statement oi necessary articles and prices for the different classes is enclosed. Some prices are marked approximately as the exact price will not be known until the invoice for thebooks is received from the publishers. "'here prices are not given we will have to inform you later concerning them. This list is subject to any changes that may be made by those setting the text books. You can judge from this list the amount that your son/daughter should have for supplies. If you desire, he may secure these things elsewhere. Pencils, pens, rubbers and rulers may be Drought from home, altho we are sure that better value may be secured for the money here. Excercise books must be uniform so we must require them to be bought at the Institute.
I woulc, suggest that you send the money for the supplies direct to the Principal just before school begins. Experience has taught us that this is the most satisfactory method for sending money. It would also be well to enclose a few additional shillings so your son/daughter would nave a little crec.it at the school office with which he/she might secure small things such as pencils etc. as needed. Such money will not be given to the student for any other purpose except with written instructions from you.
Stucents will not be admitted to their classes if they have not secured their books.
