FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

Cutting Directions:Note: All strips are cut across the width of the fabric (perpendicular to the selvages) unless noted otherwise.

A. 24028 E: Panel• Cut panel ¼" beyond printed design area. This is approximately 23" x 40 ½".

B. 24029 A: Tan Tonal Print• Cut three 2 ½" strips.

C. 24029 E: Ecru Tonal Print• Cut three 2 ½" strips.

D. 24029 Q: Aqua Tonal Print• Cut three 2 ½" strips.

E. 24030 Q: Aqua Cross Print• Cut one 4 ½" strip; subcut four 4 ½" squares.

F. 24046 A: Ecru Stripe• Cut four 2" strips.• Cut five 2 ½" strips for binding.

Construction:

1. Center and sew one (F) 2" strip to one side of the panel. Trim ends of strip even with the panel. Press toward the strip. Repeat for other side of panel.

2. Center and sew one (F) 2" strip to the top of the panel. Trim ends of strip even with edges of vertical frames. Press toward the strip. Repeat for bottom of panel.

3. Trim framed panel to 24 ½" x 42 ½" keeping panel centered.

4. Sew in order one (B) 2 ½" strip, one (C) 2 ½" strip and one (D) 2 ½" strip to make one strip set. Press seams to one side. Repeat to make three strip sets.

5. Cut strip sets into twenty-two 4 ½" segments.

6. Sew seven strip set segments together in order to create a side border. Press. Repeat.

7. Referring to quilt image for correct placement, sew a side border to each side of the quilt. Press toward the striped frame.

8. Sew four strip set segments together in order shown to create the top border. Sew one (E) 4 ½" square to both ends of the border. Press toward the squares.

9. Sew four strip set segments together in order shown to create the bottom border. Sew one (E) 4 ½" square to both ends of the border. Press toward the squares.

10. Sew the top and bottom borders to the quilt; press.

Finishing:

1.Press backing. Layer quilt top, batting and backing. Quilt as desired.

2. Trim layers even with quilt top.

3. Prepare binding using (F) 2½" strips. Sew binding to quilt using your preferred method.
