•  Re!exology is very safe; complementary with other treatments

•  During period, go light on reproductive points; avoid if heavy bleeding

Opening Your Mind to the Possibility

Example – Shift Negative Belief Structures



•  Do I want to keep having problems with my knee? What would I rather have?

•  I would like my knee to get better. •  My other knee feels okay. •  I can still walk on my right leg. •  As my health gradually improves, it’s

possible my knee could improve too.




•  My knee has done a good job of supporting me for many years.

•  I love my knee for how much it has supported me in the past.

•  Just the thought of loving my knee is sending healing energy to it.




“I don’t believe I can do this because…” “I don’t believe I deserve this because…” 1.  Start with 0.01% possibility 2.  Expand possibility as it feels like truth

Respiratory System

•  Consists of nasal cavity, trachea, bronchi and lungs

•  Primary function is respiration, the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide with the blood



NOSE POINT



Nose – Anatomy

•  Consists of bone and cartilage

•  Nasal cavity is located behind nose



Nose – Function

•  Warms, moistens and "lters air before it enters lungs

•  Contains special cells for smell



•  Dry air •  Allergens or irritants in air •  Excess mucous in the body •  Disharmony in Lung, Spleen, Kidney and/or Liver

•  Common cold •  Allergies •  Nasal polyps •  Deviated septum •  Nosebleeds

•  Dry air •  Allergens can trigger swelling •  Bacterial infection •  Changes in barometric pressure •  Anything that causes “internal heat” or drives

•  Plays important role in respiration •  Inhale air •  Exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide

between air and blood occurs in alveoli •  Exhale air

•  Governs Qi and respiration •  Controls descending and dispersing •  Regulates water passageways •  Opens into the nose •  Controls skin and hair

Lung – TCM Functions



•  External pathogens •  Excessively dry or damp weather •  Excessive consumption of cold and raw foods,

greasy foods, dairy •  Worry, grief and sadness •  Poor posture •  Smoking

What Affects the Lungs?

•  In TCM, Lung meridian associated with emotions of sadness and grief
