Tuesday 29 th November, 2016 PRINCIPAL GREEN’S PARAGRAPHS Can you believe it is Week 8, Term 4! This is officially the second last newsletter for the year. P & C Meeting Our final P & C meeting for this year is this Friday 2 nd December, 9.15am in the library. All parents/ carers are welcome to come along. We will be discussing the various initiatives that have taken place throughout 2016 and will be looking at some of the future projects that we are looking at in 2017. 2017 Enrolments We are currently doing our best to get things organised for next year. Our classes depend on the amount of students that we have enrolled. If you are planning to move or if you know anybody who is planning to join us here at Ambarvale in 2017, please come to the office and let us know ASAP. High School Students There are a number of high school students who are coming into the school grounds of an afternoon who are using inappropriate language and riding scooters / skateboards around. Please remind older siblings that they need to wait quietly and respectfully if they are picking up younger siblings at the end of the school day. Working Bee A huge thank you to all of the parents /carers and staff who came along on Saturday to work in our sustainable garden. It was certainly a productive day and your efforts were greatly appreciated. The garden is looking amazing and we hope to have it completed soon. See all the photos further on in this newsletter Week 8 Stranger Danger! The safety of our students and community is our number 1 priority here at Ambarvale PS. It is important that we regularly talk to our children about not talking to strangers or not approaching unfamiliar cars or vehicles where the person is a stranger. Let’s work together to keep our children / students safe! Aleksandra Stoilova Our Super Runner! Congratulations to Aleksandra on her amazing efforts at the National Athletics Competition over the weekend. Aleksandra came 1 st in the 100m final and in doing so, broke the NSW State record. Not only did Aleksandra do a PB in her 100m final, but her relay team also came first in the 4x100m relay. This is a huge accomplishment and we should all be extremely proud of Aleksandra. Thanks Until next time, Mrs K Green ASSEMBLY ROSTER – TERM 4 Date Time Lead by Details Monday 12 th Dec (Week 10) Presentation Day Assembly Ambarvale Public School Learning to Live Copperfield Drive, Ambarvale NSW, 2560 Phone 4626 1485 Fax 4628 0430 Website - www.ambarvale-p.schools.nsw.det.au Email - [email protected]
