When this happens most of our thoughts will come back to that shocking event. That event will spur us to action or overtime will have no effect on us. I am sure JesusResurrection was a shock to many of the people of that time. Some used it to strengthen their faith and move forward to spread the word. Others continued to disbelieve thinking it was some sort of trick. Help us to continue to spread the Good News of Jesus Resurrection so that more people can come to believe and be saved. Athletic Banquet Postponed Due to schedule conflicts, this event has been postponed. When a new date has been sent, parents and students will be notified. 3rd Quarter Recognition We recognize the following students for having perfect Church Attendance during the third quarter, which ended March 31. Thank you to everyone who came to Trinity’s Live Auction event at Farmamerica on Friday night. We raised $23,000! On Saturday, April 18th, St. Paul’s Lutheran School , in Truman, will sponsor the 40th Annual Spelling Contest for Lutheran Elementary schools in southern Minnesota. We have one student from each grade attending the spelling bee.

Danell Hoehn Benefit Sunday, April 19, 10am-1pm, Trinity Lutheran Church

Danell Hoehn has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, Stage 3, and has been hospitalized a number of times. Dan is the husband of Kendra, our school cook, and the father or Regan, Brennan, Carter, Madeline and Samuel, all 5 are students at TLS.

The proceeds from the brunch and silent auction will help support Danell Hoehn and his family as he battles the cancer. Invite your family & friends to come. Hope to see you there! Chapel 4th quarter chapel offerings will go

to Camp Omega which is located between Waterville and Morristown. Camp Omega provides numerous Christ-centered camping experiences for children from 3-18. It has many programs for adults also. Our chapel offerings will help make it possible for Camp Omega to build/construct a Slip’n Slide into a hillside. This is a new activity that they want to have for camping experiences.

A Thank You was recently received for donations the students brought in during Lutheran School Week:

Trinity Lutheran School, We would like to thank you for your generous contributions to this year’s Project Community Connect! With your help, we were able to serve over 500 people this year! All the kids did an amazing job collections donations and bringing them to the care! It was such a day brightener to see how proud and helpful they all were. Thank you again and we hope to work with you again next year! The Homeless Response Team

Grandparents / VIP Day - Friday, April 24, 1-3pm Let your grandparents, or someone who is your VIP, know to keep this date open. The program includes the musical “GPS” God’s Plan of Salvation, performed by students in grades 3 thru 5, and songs sung by the other school choirs.

God’s Plan of Salvation will also be performed at 6:30pm o Wednesday, April 22 at the church.

Hy-Vee KASH 4 Kids In the past 5 years, TLS has received over $2,000 from this program….for just turning in receipts!!!! If you shop at the Mankato Hy-Vee stores, please remember to turn your receipts in to the school office. We receive $1.00 for every $150.00 in receipts collected.

NOTE to Parents: Spring is here! When the temperatures hit 40 & 50 degrees, it feels great, but please remember to dress your children appropriately. When the kids go out for recess, they must wear a sweatshirt/coat/jacket. Once the temperatures reach 60 degrees, they will not be required to wear the additional layer.

Bunny Boutique Proceeds Thank you to all our shoppers at the Bunny Boutique and Deanna Summers who organized this event, and all her helpers, $213.78 was added to the Secret Angel Fund.

Jump Rope for Heart Results Total raised: $1,952 ($1500 in 2013) Prizes have been ordered and should be here within 2 weeks for all kids who raised over $15.
