Dr. Irving Naidorf assistant dean, School of Dental and Oral Surgery, Colum&a University, is the new editor of the Journal. American Association of Endodontists Meets in Atlanta Nearly 1,600 attended the Ameri- can Association of Endodontists' 36th Annual Session, held in Atlanta in May. The four-day meeting included eight scientific sessions, a series of research seminars, and clin- ics devoted to endodontic therapy. Speakers included Dr. Andrew L. Bassett, chief of the orthopedic research laboratories at Columbia University; Dr. Richard K. Gershon, director of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Laboratory of Im- munology at Yale; and Dr. John I. Gallin, head of the bacterial diseases section, Laboratory of Clinical Inves- tigation, National Institute of Aller- gy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health. Dr. Bassett predicted that bone diseases that affect the orofacial complex will be reduced significantly within three years. Dr. Gershon discussed the body's immune re- sponse and its clinical implications in neoplasia, infectious processes, and autoimmune disease, and Dr. Gallin analyzed chemical agent and phago- cyte reaction to the inflammatory response. Officers selected for the coming year include Dr. Paul E. Zeigler, San Diego, president; Dr. Edward M. Osetek, Beltsville, Md, president- elect; Dr. Henry J. Van Hassel, Bellevue, Wash, vice-president; Dr. Michael A. Heuer, Chicago, secre- tary; and Dr. Noah Chivian, West Orange, N J, treasurer. Dr. Irving J. American Association of Endodontists Meets in Atlanta

Nearly 1,600 attended the Ameri- can Association of Endodontists' 36th Annual Session, held in Atlanta in May. The four-day meeting included eight scientific sessions, a series of research seminars, and clin- ics devoted to endodontic therapy.
