Ideal for long, flat, or heavy products. The layering of the board on each end provides extra strength. Wraps around product rather than needing the product to be placed inside afterward, so is good for long delicate items.

Full Telescope HSC

Two HSCs with one overlapping the other to cover it fully. More sturdy than the Design Style Full Telescope.

Double Cover Container

Good for tall or heavy products, as product is first placed on bottom cover then tube lifted over it.

Interlocking Double Cover Container

Ideal for flat items with shallow depth. Allow for speedy packaging and provide a flat, unbroken bottom. They are commonly used for printed materials, artwork, etc.

Provides extra protection and helps prevent crushed edges.

Recommended for instances where the OPF will be over 2 ½” depth.

OPF with Overlapping Flaps

Provides extra protection and is sturdier than a standard OPF. Flaps should be offset.

Lithographic Labels

Lithographic labels allow for photo-realistic multi-color prints, similar to digital printing, but utilize print plates like flexographic printing. Instead of printing directly on the board, a label is printed then applied to the board.

Good For

• Large or recurring runs

• Multi-color, photo-real prints

• Projects with fast turnaround times

Considerations

• Requires purchase of print plates, making it less viable for small runs

• The need to create print plates, print the labels, and apply the labels means that longer lead times are required

Flaps: Regular Slotted (RSC)

Flaps are all the same length, with the length panel flaps meeting in the center. Generally an economical option, as less corrugated board is used than in other flap styles and it produces little manufacturing waste.

Shied Flaps

The outer flaps can be shied so that a small gap remains between them when closed. When used on the bottom of a container, this prevents potential flap overlap ensuring consistently stable boxes.

Flaps are all the same length and overlap partially. Provides extra strength and is often sealed with staples inserted in the overlapping area. Is good for instances where the box must be significantly longer than it is wide.

Flaps are cut to different lengths so that both the length and width flaps meet in the middle. This makes the box more stable and level and provides extra strength.

Flaps are all cut to the same length, which is one half the length of the box. This causes the inner flaps to meet in the middle when closed, while the outer flaps overlap at random. The length of a box using this style of flaps can not be more than twice the width.
