    Thanksgiving Day (celebrate on fourth

    Thursday of November)

    History:

    In the year 1620, a ship named May Flowerbrought 102 English people to Massachusetts,America. The ship passenger were puritan(pilgrim).

    the Indians help the pilgrims to plant corn (maize)and other crops.

    In October 1621 they celebrate a good harvest.They held a feast which featured among otherfood wild turkeywhich is native to North America.

    The day is held to thank their God for His blessing.

    rabbits and chicks for the children.

    Christmas is a most important religious holiday

    for Christians, who attend special church service

    to celebrate the birth of Jesus of Nazareth.
