American Legion Auxiliary Sunflower Girls State June 5-10, 2016 Democracy in action is a great thing. Teaching democracy in action is even better. Girls State is a non-partisan program that teaches young women responsible citizenship and patriotism. High School students, having completed their junior year spend an intensive week of study, working together as self-governing citizens. They learn how to participate in the functioning of their city, county and state government in preparation for their future roles as responsible citizens. Upon receipt of fee, you will receive a registration form. Fill in sponsors part of form and have delegate fill in her part. A picture of the delegate must be attached to the form. Once completed, return the form to the Secretary/Treasurer.
