Turbines revolutionized airplane propulsion in the 1940s, and in the 1990s through today have been a popular choice for new power generation plants due to its capability of producing high-quality exhaust heat which results overall system efficiency of 70% to 80 %. Gas turbines are one of the cleanest means of generating electricity. It has wide range of applications. The oil and gas industry commonly uses gas turbines to drive pumps and compressors. Process industries use them to drive compressors and other large mechanical equipment, and many industrial and institutional facilities use turbines to generate electricity for use on-site. A national seminar on Gas Turbine Technology is going to be held in Amity University by American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Amity Student Section which provides students of Engineering colleges / universities particularly of North India, an opportunity to be a part of this seminar and gain knowledge. A poster making competition will be held alongside that allows students to showcase their creative and technical skills on Enhancements in Gas Turbine TechnologyAMITY UNIVERSITY is the leading education group of India with over 1, 25,000 students studying across 1000 acres of hi-tech campuses.
