President’s Report By Paul Hellickson
I hope that everyone is enjoying the summer thus far. Vacations are coming to an end and the kids will be going back to school soon. Our participation at the Annual Golf Outing was really great, the numbers were up from previous years and I understand the weather was incredible. I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to our hole sponsors; without your participation we would not be able to do some of the things we do.

VP Technical Report By John Fischer Jr.
CHAPTER MEMBERS - HELP NEEDED
I want to ensure that the meeting lineup has topics of interest to all members - old and new. I need to know what topics and what new technology you would be interested in hearing about. Anything of interest in Plumbing, Mechanical, Fire, Hydronic, Green, Energy Efficiency, Code & Permit Issues, Water Saver products would be considered. In addition if you suggest a topic, please provide a person or a source you have run across that would be interested in making a presentation. I will work out the details when I have a name and a place to contact, phone, e-mail address. If you yourself wish to make a presentation relating your experience with a particular unique or interesting project you have been involved in, this would also be considered, PDH for PE’s in Missouri are double when a presentation is made. Part of ASPE policy regarding presentations are as follows: NO COMMERCIALISM All forms of commercialism and the use of or reference to proprietary information in any ASPE technical publica-tions and Convention, Technical Symposia, and seminar programs shall be prohibited. For purposes of ASPE publications and presentations, commercialism shall be defined as the use or inclusion of any written, verbal, or visual materials or information that endorses, recommends, or otherwise refers to, directly or implicitly, any organization, product, or service that might be perceived to be for the promotion or commercial advantage of an organization, product, or service. As most of you know, or maybe do not know, we provide no funds or expenses for our meeting presenters. The costs are picked up by their organizations. It seems these funds are becoming less available and more difficult for the purposes of providing speakers. I think perhaps a loosening of the amount of proprietary information, perhaps 10% of the time of the presentations, the speaker might be able to provide during a presentation might be an incentive for these organizations to be more inclined to provide speakers. It is just a thought. Contact me to suggest or offer suggestions.. My e-mail address and cell are listed on the first page of this newsletter. Continuing education certificates for the last two meetings (April & May) which were not picked up or received by e-mail or were not available at the meeting, will be available at the September 1 meeting. See you there

New Legionellosis Standard Published ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 188-2015, Legionellosis: Risk Management for Building Water Systems, is intended for use by owners and managers of human-occupied buildings and those involved in the design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance and service of centralized building water systems and components. Specific requirements in the standard include:

Establishment by building owners of a Program Team and (in turn) a Water Management
Program for which they are responsible in order to comply with the standard. Provision of specific and detailed requirements for what Legionellosis control strategies must
accomplish and how they are to be documented – but, does not provide (or place restrictions on) what specific strategies are to be used or applied.
The cost of ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 188-2015, Legionellosis: Risk Management for Building Water Systems, is $58 ($48, ASHRAE members).
