Each ELEY cartridge lot is assembled from high specification component batches on our unique precision loading machines—designed and built

by the ELEY engineers. Every bullet is cold formed by a single punch and die before undergoing electronic visual verification to ensure ballistic

consistency. Cartridge case length is closely controlled using statistical techniques to provide a precise combustion and thermal decomposition

Why you should test with ELEYBatch testing is designed to find the most accurate ammunition for your barrel to deliver results, records, and medals. What works at optimum performance in one barrel won’t necessarily work as well in another, this is why batch testing is so important. Only when shooters have total confidence in their barrel-ammo combination, can they train to perfect their own performance and reach their personal best. What works at optimum performance in one barrel won’t necessarily work as well in another. This is why batch testing is so important.

how we batch test

Each shooter is asked to bring 50 rounds of their current ammunition, this is to give the shooter a visual reference on how the barrel is performing currently and how the barrel could perform with newly tested ammunition.

We test your barrel with up to 20 batches (ELEY tenex) 10 batches (ELEY edge) and use a proven test methodology, electronic targets, and bespoke ELEY software to achieve the best results.

During testing 10 shots are fired from each batch and through the barrel until the best performing batches are shortlisted. A further 30 shots from those selections are fired until an overall 40 shot group size and consolidated score is recorded for each. Our bespoke ELEY software makes analysing the results fast, simple and very accurate, helping you to find that record-breaking batch.
