Archery Camp 9 & 10 years old and 11 to 14 years old

The RA’s Archery Camp is designed for kids who are new to the sport and looking for a positive first experience. Campers spend either the morning (9:00am to 12:00pm) or the afternoon (1:00pm to 4:00pm) on the range. The rest of the time, the campers join in the fun with the RA Day Camp. Campers will be given instruction in the basic components of an archery shot on a recurve bow, learn the basics of target shooting and scoring, and assemble a cedar arrow to take home. The last day of camp features a friendly competition. Campers will enjoy their time spent in this engaging learning experience.

Please note: Archery instruction rotates daily from mornings to afternoons for both age groups. Since swimming time takes place in afternoons only, this means your child’s swim-time in the pool is dependent on when their group’s time in the archery range takes place. Therefore, we recommend packing a swim suits, towel, plastic bag and any accessories each day.

I became a camp counsellor because I want to make every kid’s summer camp experience amazing. Just like mine as a kid. You learn so much as a kid in summer camp and every year I hope to bring that opportunity to my campers.

I have been going to the RA for a very long time. I have met many counsellors and they all want to help you get better at sports. And one day, I want to be a counsellor so I can help kids have great summers like I did as an RA camper. I like returning to the RA every summer because I like having fun doing sports but also because I can do a variety of different activities and learn new things.
