AMS Tri-fold Brochure Name _________________________ BIM

Instructions:

You have been asked by the principals to create a tri-fold brochure about AMS to give out to new students,

parents, and new teachers. The information in the brochure must be relevant information about the school that

new students need to know. Also, you cannot have any mistakes in this document because it will be used by

our school.

Using Microsoft Publisher, click once on BUILT-IN, then click once on the Brochures icon. Scroll down and

choose the brochure template you want to use for your AMS brochure. You are welcome to customize the

colors.

1. Front panel (cover page – 10 pts) – include the following info:

□ School name

□ AMS related picture

□ School address, phone number, & fax #.

□ School website URL with active hyperlink

□ Include AMS’s tagline: Strong Readers, Strong Writers, Strong Problem Solvers

2. Back panel (10 pts) – include all of the following:

□ Created by Yourfirstnameonly, BIM Student

□ Type: Business Information Management, 2017-2018

□ Include a “quote” from you about what you love about AMS, or advice about how to be

successful at AMS. Make sure to put it in quotes and your name as the author of quote.

□ 2 graphics related to BIM or technology

3. Inside panel (10 pts) – include:

□ ROAR Expectations– what it stands for

□ Make the font large enough to fill up the entire panel, except leave room for your clipart.

□ 1 piece of clipart related to ROAR or tigers

4. You must choose 3 of the following topics to discuss on side 2 of your brochure. You can

find most of the information on the AMS website. (15 pts each)

AMS principals – names, titles, grade level, phone numbers, with a piece of clipart.

Campus information: bell schedule, school colors, mascot, picture of a tiger.

Important Dates for year like progress reports, report cards, STAAR testing, holidays

Important phone numbers for AMS, graphic(s) of your choice, from AMS website

Clubs and organizations at AMS (from AMS website), graphic(s) of your choice.

What makes AMS so great (at least 4 things), picture of AMS.

Your choice of topic (Use AMS website for other ideas of what to include)

5. Spell Check and Proofread – there can be no mistakes. (5 pts)

6. Save this as AMS Brochure to your network drive. (5 pts)

7. Print Preview to make sure nothing is cut off on the page and everything on the brochure is

there and acceptable. Mrs. Tompkins needs to approve and initial here _______ before printing in

color. (5 pts)

8. Print 1 page at time to the color printer. Turn in your brochure with this instruction sheet. Do

NOT staple, just lay together in basket. (5 pts)

9. Add this document to your portfolio in these formats. (5 pts)

□ Add file to bottom of Publisher Products page

□ Create a screen shot of each page of brochure.

o Save as AMS Brochure page 1

o and AMS Brochure page 2

□ Insert both pages as images to your Publisher Products page.
