GOAL

INTRODUCTION

To sharpen the skills of graduate students in practical aspects of production and provide focused training.

Acceptance of our students in the industry from the very first day.

In short, bridging the gap for the Print Industry.

The brainchild of two visionary brothers in the Printing Field, Mr. Tushar Dhote & Mr. Uday Dhote, ‘DOT Institute of Graphic Communication’ (DIGC) was born out of their realisation that there is a dearth of qualified professionals in the industry. With an experience of around 3 decades in the industry and having closely watched & participated in its transition from a conventional medium to a digital one, they realised the potential for skilled individuals in Print Career.

With the kind of opportunities available in various facets of print industry, there is a pressing demand for skilled workers. Notwithstanding to the contrary, students passing out of print colleges are not skilled to face the practical challenges that the industry demands.

Page 3: AN INITIATIVE OF DHOTE OFFSET TECHNOKRAFTS PVT. LTD.dhoteoffset.net/downloads/DOT Prospectus.pdf · OUR PROMOTERS A print technologist from Mumbai, who has honed his skills subsequently

DIGC through its training programme aims to bridge this gap by providing students with the requisite all round skills and a comprehensive training program by skilled faculty, to ensure an industry worthy Imprint Career right from the start. It aims to introduce fresh graduates to the practical aspects of production and provide focused training in various facets of Print Technology. Hence, the courses will be a judicious mix which will equip them with the right skills to be future Managers and Leaders.

OUR PROMOTERS

A print technologist from Mumbai, who has honed his skills subsequently from Heidelberg, Tushar has been at the forefront of technological revolution in the Print Industry. Having spent more 3 decades in the print industry, Tushar realised that there is a dearth of qualified as well as skilled personnel in the industry. The seed of DOT Institute of Graphic Communication germinated from his passion for Print and his spirit for giving back to the Industry skilled people who would become future torchbearers for the industry and make it a vibrant as well as viable career option. Tushar is also instrumental in spreading the reach of Print to remote areas through various road shows. A true motivator and leader, he is also the guiding force behind DOT’s position of eminence in the print Industry.

A man of many talents, Uday Dhote in his capacity as the Director of DOT juggles many roles. A Chartered Accountant by qualification and a taxation wizard, he has extensive experience in the education field. He has been the Chairman of a Print Institute at Panvel for more than 3 years. He along with Tushar Dhote realised that there is a scarcity of good quality professionals and the potential in the industry for such students and the importance of providing advanced education to students from the Print Industry. In order to bridge the gap between right education and skills required by the industry and make students employable worthy from the start of their career, he along with Mr. Tushar Dhote decided to establish DOT Institute of Graphic Communication thereby giving these students an added advantage in terms of career opportunities. The heart behind this venture, it was through his painstaking endeavour to provide quality education to students that DOT gained its initiative.
