For the D-NOSES PILOTS…Citizens will be trained by odour experts to distinguish odours, make valid observations and identify odour sources.

We will collect and validate data using OdourCollect and a wide range of participatorystrategies adapted to the reality and necessities of each D-NOSES pilot

Awareness will be raised plus a sense of co-responsibility

Calpuff model for verifying the odour sourceMeteo data and GIS data will be incorporated to run reverse trajectories for each citizen observation to verify the more plausible odour source.

Other factors will be considered to verify the validity of the observations:✓ Number of citizens reporting the same type of odour in the same area at the same time✓ Community champions observations (e.g. Certified volunteers, trained, motivated citizens with a history
