These positions are as follows: One permanent, full-time position working 80 hours a fortnight One temporary, full-time position covering parental leave until July 2020 The Nelson Hospital Theatre Suite consists of six operating theatres with a recovery room, a sterile services department and endoscopy suite, and delivers on average 43 sessions requiring a general anaesthetic a week. About you To be considered for these positions you must be an Anaesthetic Technician registered with, and have an annual practising certificate (APC) issued by, The Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (MSCNZ), or be eligible for the same. Alternatively you will be Registered Nurse Assistant to the Anaesthetist with a current APC. You will also be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality. In addition you must have: recent clinical experience with strong observational and crisis management skills good verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
