Purpose

Use this procedure to analyze the Stock Requirements List for a material at a plant.

Trigger

Perform this procedure when you want to review stock information for a specific material at a plant. The Stock Requirements List displays:

Current stock levels Planned requirements (demand) Planned replenishments (supply).

Prerequisites

The material must be stocked at the plant.

Menu Path

Use the following menu path(s) to begin this transaction:

Helpful Hints

The Stock Requirements List is continuously updated as dates and quantities change. Click the Refresh button in the transaction at any time to see the most updated stock data.

Procedure

1. Open transaction MD04.

Stock/Requirements List: Initial Screen

2. As required, complete/review the following fields:

Field R/O/C Description Material Required Unique number that identifies a material in SAP.

Material numbers are assigned at the time the material master record is created. Example: 83M00

Plant Required A physical location represented by a four-character code. All LII locations are assigned a unique plant code. Example: A400

3. Click .




Stock/Requirements List as of 09:52 hrs

4. Click to open a new column to display customer information.





5. Click to open a new column to display vendor information.





6. You can display any line item on the Stock Requirements List.

Click any line item to select it.

7. Then click .

8. SAP will display the purchase requisition.

Click to see the quantities and dates for the requisition.





9. Click to see the MRP Controller contact information.





10. Click to go back to the Stock Requirements List.





11. You can also display deliveries and other sales documents from MD04.

Click any delivery to select it.

16. You can click any document and then click the button to open the sales

document.

18. You can see the quantities of this material in blocked and quality status at this plant.

Click on the Menu bar.

Stock Statistics

20. The fields on the left show materials available for planning. The fields on the right show materials

not available for sales orders or transfer to other plants.

Click to close the Stock Statistics window.





21. You can access the Material Master Record from MD04.

Click on the Menu bar.

Organizational levels





Field R/O/C Description Sales Org. Required The organizational unit responsible for the sale of

certain products or services. (Ex. AR01, EX01 = Allied, LXCA = Lennox Canada, LXHO = Hearth Products, LXUS = Lennox US) Example: LXUS

Distr. Channel Required Defines the type of sale (Ex. 01 = Residential, 02 = Commercial, 05 = Affiliate sales or 06 = National accounts). Example: 01

You can change the material by typing a new material number into the Material field and clicking the Refresh button.

30. Click to change the Stock Requirements List to the new material.





31. You can click to go back to the Stock Requirements List for the previous material.





32. Click when you are ready to exit MD04.




Result

You have successfully analyzed stock requirements for a material at a plant.
