Documentation Needs:

• Left or Right • Weight bearing status – must be ambulatory in some capacity • What weakness does the patient have • What deformity is present • Is their instability or laxity • Which product are they receiving • How are they to use the product

o Wear at all times o During ambulation o Only at night o Remove for hygiene only

• How are they going to benefit from using it o Stabilization o Improve function o Reduce pain o Facilitate healing

Possible Diagnosis:

There are not any diagnosis limitations however you cannot use pain. Common diagnosis used would be:

• Ankle sprains and strains • Foot sprains and strains • Fractures of the foot • Fractures of the ankle • Post ORIF for fracture • Post tendon/ligament repair • Achilles tendon ruptures
