His art is vehement figurative, showing a pointe after a tedious process of sculpting out of the block, showing the

glamour and misery of mankind - the attempt of a portrait of todays society, which evolves out of the destiny

of single human beings.

Ben Siegel art in public space: bras relief requiem of Mozart, St. Michael, Vienna; sculptures at inner square of

St. Michael; memorial Sr. Maria restituta - cooperation with Alfred Hrdlicka - at St. Stephan´s

Etienne Yver

Étienne Yver is mainly a painter, but also a stage designer and a sculptor. He was born in 1955 in Caen (France). He has exhibitions since 1980. He has been invited by various

foundations in France and abroad, but he now lives in Paris. His work is a meditation on the place of man in our

world, on mental and psychological plans through his body, flesh and desire. His researches

concentrate on different directions : the interrelations of his own artistic practice

and literature (Sophocles, Khayyam, Shakespeare, Michel-Ange, La Fontaine,

Mallarme, Apollinaire, Garcîa Lorca, Yassin Adnan or Philippe Macaigne);

the interactions with music (Mozart, Satie, Greif, Forget, Gasparov, Bacri, Campo…),

or dance, opera and theatre.

Eva Verhnjak

She lives and works in Vienna as a freelance artist since 1995.

the paintings, abstract as well as realistic, are sensitive and full of emotions at the same time;

the portraits are describing our character and our beauty... Showing the unique

existence of each individual. She chooses mainly large formats for her art work,

oil or acryl on canvas.

of the 3rd millennium".

it's not what the eye catches - it's what the head make so fit!

great parts of patrick halek’s paintings are turned into three-dimensional pieces by the integration of installa-

tions. his paintings are untitled because they are supposed to remain what they are: abstract.

his photographs are turned into photopaints. various computer-aided techniques never quite reveal the actual

look through the lense when a picture was taken.

therefore, interpreting each work is left to the viewer's eye. so, each work has different

meanings to different viewers. because it's not what the eye catches - it's what the head makes of it!

In my discovery of the painted picture, the written word, and the phenomenon of time, I combine multiple layers of

color that I at times scrape and break up. Sometimes I write with impulsive gestures, other times I create graphic

order with fine utensils. My vision becomes more clear in the process and simultaneously obscured. I have to

remove some elements, others have to remain in order for the mind to fill in the rest. The missing parts have to be

surveyed like a map. Never just artificially, never just naturally, coincidence has to play a part. Work means

creation by hand. In my paintings I tell stories to divulge what lies behind them. Meaning is given, it opens a door

and invites you through it.

Thomas Kosma

What really remains? In my art I deal for many years with

archaeological finds and artefacts of the longest past existences, companies and lifeforms.

today we are only able to speculate about their form and content with the help of these sculptures, everyday objects

and cave paintings - nothing more.We do know very little about that.

Actually in my sculptural examination I only work with the rests of these remnants, rests of what has remained.

And one thing is absolutely clear: Our focus on human history is orientated on periods of time, which can be

distinguished and classified by artistic statements to the according cultural epoch.

this is the access of the modern science, in the archeology as well as in the prehistory

and early history.the art was and is the only significant testimony of the

sensitivities of societies by all times. And that stays.
