Comfort Quilts Hello Ladies, Thanks to everyone who has supported the Comfort Quilt program over the past few months. Your hard work creating the kits, piecing the tops, quilting the quilts and attaching the bindings has been a wonderful guild effort. And thanks also to the ladies who have provided us with lovely pieces of fabric from their stashes. We encourage anyone who hasn't participated to jump right in and join us. It's a great feeling to help others while doing the thing we love most: making quilts. We plan to drop off another forty-three quilts to our groups in need prior to Christmas. That will bring our total finished and delivered quilts up to ninety for the first four months of our year. Again a huge thank-you to all for making this possible. The Comfort Quilt table will be operating at the December meeting. We'll be there to provide more quilt kits for those wanting to do some piecing over the holidays. We will also take any pieced tops that you have ready to drop off and there will be some kits with batting and backing for anyone who would like to quilt one of the comfort quilts. We would like to extend a special thank-you to Cynthia from Cherished Pieces. In November, she provided the Comfort Quilt group with several boxes of fabric pieces in assorted sizes and colours that will make wonderful quilts as well as two bolts of lovely fabric that will be used for our backings. Thank-you Cynthia! Have a happy and safe holiday season with your families and friends. We'll see you again in 2018. Ann, Cathy and Karen
