About Us

InControl AS descends from the Instrumentation & Control division of Amitec AS (former FK Smith AS/Sandven Elektro AS/Ferrotron AS). Our company has evolved, and we are now a part of the RealGroup AS that consists of Amitec AS, Westec AS and Incontrol AS. The three sister companies focus on three different business segments. Throughout InControl AS’s history the company has supplied Anchor Monitoring Systems and other instrumentation to hundreds of vessels all over the world since 1973. We try our best to satisfy our customers by providing them with high quality products that address their needs.

InControl focuses mainly on instrumentation and control systems engineering for the oil and gas sector.

Our traditional product portfolio includes anchor, ballast and crane control monitoring systems, alarm and weather monitoring systems, telecommunications and emergency shut-down systems for the petroleum and maritime industry. What is InTune

InTune is the service provided by InControl toverify and calibrate the anchor-line tensionreadings on semisubmersible rigs, FPSOsand other vessels.

The measurement principle is based on theidentification of the frequency of vibrationsproduced in a limited segment of the anchor-line at different loads.

Tension is determined using the physicalrelationship between three parameters of theline segment: length, relative weight (weightper unit length) and frequency of vibrations.
