    Anchoring speech introduction

    Good afternoon everyone. Today we are gathered here

    to celebrate our 65threpublic day. I would like to wish

    you all a happy republic day 20!. Its "y privilege to

    be a part of this auspicious occasion.

    We took an oath when we became a Republic. A Republic is a

    state where the will of the people comes first. Where religion andstate will not mix. Where truth will be told, honored and enforced.

    Where progress will be in the hands of the common man and notthe elite few. Where freedom is a right and not earned. Where

    human life is valued as supreme and not treated as a commodity.

    Republic Day of Indiais celebrated with great zeal. It is a peoples day.

    On Independence Day, the past is re-called , on Republic Day, the pledge is

    renewed.The essence behind the celebration of Republic day is not only to

    celebrate Indias secularism and democracy but also to mae us feel proud ofour culture, languages, social norms, traditions, customs, religions that mae

    India a wonderful multi-cultural country. The Republic Day !arade is

    re"ecti#e of the united India that is one despite the apparent di#ersities in

    culture, lifestyle, languages, traditions and religions. $e gained our freedom

    on %&thaugust %'() then some rules and regulations were re*uired to dri#e

    the country. In the leadership of + R ambedar the Indian constitution was

    formed it came into eect from th/anuary %'&0 since then it is celebrated

    as the republic day of our country.

    Republic Day is a time to en1oy the rich culture, acnowledge people who

    ha#e made an attempt to put their li#es to good use for others sae2 and

    maybe deri#e some inspiration from it. 3 day when you stop cribbing and

    start shouting for the ful4llment of the pledge. 3 day running high onidealism.

    I now being too optimistic can be mistaen for being nai#e which I do not

    want. 3t least a day is all I am asing for. 3 day to celebrate your nation2 to

    celebrate your nationality.
