Ancient China
Yin Yang
Chinese people believe in balance and connection with nature.
Taoism is an ancient Chinese religion with many dieties (gods and goddesses) and there is a focus on meditation, feng shui, unity with nature and self development. Taoism began in China over 2000 years ago.
The symbol for Yin Yang is called the Taijitu.
Yin and Yang are two halves that form a whole. For example, there is some light in the darkness, and some darkness in the light. You cannot have night without the day.
What does Yin Yang represent?
Draw the Yin Yang symbol into your workbook and write the symbolism next to it.
