Please refer to the above Tender Call document in your possession and be advised of the following:

1. General Clarifications To Questions From Bidders

Q1. Please clarify the following:

Re: Section 12 24 13 – Roller Window Shades

As per the demolition drawings note 6 – Roll up existing window treatments and

protect from dust and damage during the course of demolition.

Are new shades actually required? Are they required for all the exterior windows? Any

new shade required in interior glass partition?

A1. As noted on demolition plans, contractor shall carefully remove and dispose of all existing

base building window coverings throughout and identify any damage or imperfections at

mullions to project manager. New window coverings ZW-1 shall be supplied and installed

at all perimeter (external) windows.

Q2. Please clarify the following:

Re: Skim coating

As per demolition drawing Key/Sheet note 2 – Skim Coating is required at area where

existing wall covering is removed. This note is shown as a typical note on the drawing.

Can you please clarify the area we need to provide skim coating? It is only along the

core as shown in Red on below screenshot?

A2. Skim coating is required at all areas where existing wall covering is removed. This

includes the core (indicated in the screen shots), but also at any walls not slated to be

demolished (ie: mechanical room walls on Floor 4), or columns.

Q3. We have reviewed addendums 1 and 2, and we cannot find answers to the following

questions:

.a Please provide names and contact of fire alarm, controls, security, and

sprinkler contractors.

.b What is make of security systems and fire alarm systems?

.c Please specify location on plan for wall covering. It is for note WC on drawings

I.1.6. and I.2.6.

Answer 2 is dealing with this question, but it did not provide the

complete answer. We do not see which walls receive wall covering. We

only see wall covering in the legend.

A3. .a It is the General Contractor's responsibility to reach out to the Vendors specified

in Section 4 Scope of Work. The City of Toronto does not provide specific

name or contact information of persons working for Vendors.

.b This is specified under Section 4 Scope of Work and again in Addendum #2.

.c Wall coverings (film) are identified on the Wall and Finishes Plans as FL-1B and

FL-3. Bidders are responsible to review all documentation for locations.

.d Wall types 3, 4, 5, and 6 will be supplied and installed by the furniture vendor.

This vendor, or their specifications, cannot be identified at this time as they have

yet to be awarded.

.e Specifications for ZCS-2 (Armstrong Soundscape Blades) can be found in the

Product Schedule on drawing page I.9.1.

.f The deadline for questions is 12pm on July 11, 2018. As a result, this should be
