ADOPT A SCHOOL PROGRAM

Radisson Blu Resort Fiji operate an Adopt A School program that is run voluntarily by the Resort to assist in

the Local Fijian community wherever we can. We originally chose two local schools in our community as

most of our employees have attended these schools and many send their own children to these two

schools as well. We have due to the generosity of guests and partners expanded to assist with many

schools in the community. We raise funds through guests kind donations, a weekly Duck Derby where

guests can purchase a duck and watch the Duck Derby each Thursday, all proceeds go to our Adopt A

School program. Our weekly school tours operate every Friday, this is where our guests see the need for

our Program and how the money is utilised and distributed.

To utilise all available funds, resources and partnerships, to have the most effective and efficient impact

on the standard of education, health and lifestyle of as many children as possible. To provide help

where help is needed and where help is respected, whether as an individual or continuing project. In all

3 LEGGED RACE - Always fun, and just when you think your almost there, something trips you.

AQUA AEROBICS - Every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday.

BANANA SQUASH - You have to like eating bananas to enjoy this one.

BANANA OLYMPICS - Do a series of activities with Bananas.

BASKET WEAVING DEMONSTRATION - Watch the boys weave a basket out of coconut leaves, and if your lucky they might make one for you.

BEACH SOCCER - Depending on the tide, play good old fashion beach Soccer.

BUN EATING COMPETITION - Always funny to watch.

CAROM BOARD COMPETITION - A local game that is very easy to learn, and fun to play.

COCONUT BOWLING - Your in Fiji, you will definitely be bowling with coconuts.

COCONUT DEMONSTRATION - Watch the boys as they show you how to husk a coconut and then taste fresh or roasted coconut.

DIVING FOR TREASURE - A great activity to encourage toddlers to practice putting their head under water.

EGG TOSSING - Suitable for all ages, players usually forget the rules and things do end up getting messy. All worth it though.

EGG ROLL - Have a try at balancing two eggs on two trays and transporting it from one point o another.

FISH FEEDING - come meet the Zebra fish that we feed. They are not shy at all.

FIJIAN CRICKET - Play Cricket Fijian Style.

FIJIAN LESSON - Learn a few of our Fijian words that you can use on a daily basis.

FIJIAN DRUM BEATING LESSON - Find out what different drum beats mean, and learn how to do them.

FIJIAN OLYMPICS - Do a series of activities with banana’s

MEKE SHOW - Enjoy traditional Fijian dance while having dinner at the Blu Restaurant.

MOUTH TO MOUTH - You have to come see this game. It’s definitely not what you think.

OCTOPUS - If you can pull the octopus arms without dropping the head, you win.

PASS THE BALL - You don't get to use your arms to do this.

POOL VOLLYBALL - We do this every day in the family pool so everyone can take part.

POWER WALK (FIJIAN STYLE) - When in Fiji, do as the Fijians.

RAINY RELAY - See if you can feel the bottle without wetting the person holding the bottle.

SAND CASTLE COMPETITON - Have the whole family help. Best sandcastle that matches the theme wins.

SULU TYING LESSON - Bring a sarong along because the team can teach you how to do, up to seven different tying styles.

SUN SCREEN WARRIOR - For kids who don't like putting on sunscreen, they usually have no problems when the sun screen warrior offers the lotion to them.

TOUCH RUGBY - Check your rugby skills against the Banana boys.

BALLOON DARE - Pop the balloon, and you’ll have to do the dare inside it.

BALLOON DANCE - Try not to drop the balloon while dancing.

BOAT MAKING - Let us teach you how to make boats with coconuts, just like we do back in the village.

BOAT RACING - If your boat is first to the finish line, you get to take the coconut trophy to your room

BALLOON VOLLEYBALL - It’s fun trying to get a point, with the balloon floating slowly.

BUCKET RELAY RACE - Which team will fill their Buckets first with the teaspoon of water. One at a time.

BULA BALL - First team to spell the word ‘bula’ with their points wins.

CATCH THE LIZARD’S TAIL - Kid’s must try and catch the tail without breaking the line.

CAPTURE THE FLAGS - Great game that could go on for hours.

COCONUT COLLECTING - Collect as many coconuts as you can, because your going to do some cool stuff with them.

CRAB HUNTING - Yep! Your hunting for them on the beach.

CRAB RACING - They run sideways, so their race track is very different.

CRAB SOCCER - Try and play soccer, the same way crabs do.

CROCODILE, CROCODILE - you can only cross the river if you are wearing the right colour.

DOG & THE BONE - Help your team of dogs steal the bone as much as possible to win this game.

DRIP, DRIP, SPLASH - The wet version of duck, duck. Goose.

SARDINES - Like hide and seek but be careful you’ll start to feel like sardines when your all cramped up in the hiding spot.

SHELL NECKLACE MAKING - Make some cool necklaces with the shells you found.

SLEEPING MOKOS - Don’t move, no matter what they say or do.

SPONGE WATER RACE - Try and transfer water from one bucket to another using only a sponge.

STREET LIGHTS - Get on the other side of the road with out the streetlight catching you.

STUCK IN THE MUD - If your tagged your stuck in the Mud. Stay away from the tagger.
