Is tithes and offerings still significant to be practice under grace? Thank you for the question. Here is the verses under question. Malachi 3:8-11 (KJV) 8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, [..why? — >] that there may be meat in mine house , and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven , and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. The short answer is Yes. Tithes and offerings are still significant and are to be practiced under the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Both tithes and offerings are of one Spirit, and tithes are offered unto the Lord. Tithing is a kind of offering. All tithes are offering, but not all offerings under the Law are called tithes. There are other offerings like burnt offering, meat offerings, peace offering, jealousy offering etcetera under the Law.

Malachi 3:8-9-10-11Tithes and Offerings.

What is the difference between tithes and offerings?Through Christ we received the new man unto grace under Christ. Is tithes and offerings still significant to be practice under grace?

Thank you for the question.

Here is the verses under question.

Malachi 3:8-11 (KJV)8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee?  In tithes and offerings.9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, [..why? —>] that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground;   neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

There are other offerings like burnt offering, meat offerings, peace offering, jealousy offering etcetera under the Law.But spiritually they are all of one. That is through the singleness / simplicity (2Cor 11:3) of the work of Christ in us.

Now let us diligently examine the Scripture why this is so. (Acts 17:11)

The prophecy of Malachi is not some dead letters that passed away some time ago, but as with all Scripture, it is “living and active” to be fulfilled first in those the Lord has chosen in every generations.

Hebrews 4:12 (ASV)12 For the word of God is living, and active, [—-> Malachi 3:8-11 above..] and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Page 2: tryingthespirits.com and Offerings.docx  · Web viewThe land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed

We are told these prophecies by the prophets are “signified”, and it was not meant for their fulfilment in their days, but first to God’s Elect in all generations.

1 Peter 1:10-11 (KJV)10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired [...like Malachi..] and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:   11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did SIGNIFY, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory   that should follow.

The new Man we receive, bringing grace unto us is the spirit of Christ in us,   the glory of God (our offerings) that follows.

2 Timothy 2:1 (KJV)Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

So as long as the Spirit of Christ is in one’s heart, the grace of our Lord is there. And that grace of Him works specifically to fulfil the Father’s purpose for the Son to fulfil all Scripture, including the true tithes and offerings, within us.

Luke 24:44 (KJV)44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, [=in this case under discussion Malachi 3:8-11] and in the psalms, concerning me.

Colossians 1:25 (KJV)25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; [=in this case under discussion Malachi 3:8-11]

Tithes and offerings concerns Jesus Christ. This will first be fulfilled in His chosen people, the many members in the Body of Christ.

Luke 21:32-33 (KJV)32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.   33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words [...Spirit of Christ in Malachi prophesying of tithes and offerings..] shall not pass away.

These precious people (in whom tithes and offerings are still a significant practice) are the same prophesied by Malachi and revealed to us by apostle Peter as:

1 Peter 2:4-5 (KJV)4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,....

Page 3: tryingthespirits.com and Offerings.docx  · Web viewThe land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed

...1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you   out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Now let us compare the spiritual (signified) words of Malachi to that revealed to us  (through the Spirit of Christ- John 6:63) in the New Testament.

Verse 8.

Malachi 3:8-11 (KJV)8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee?  In tithes and offerings.

Who is “ye”?

“Ye” was signified in the book of Malachi as these:

Malachi 1:6 (KJV)6 A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?

“Ye” is the sons of Levi, who are the priesthood in the Old Testament. These chosen of God are of the order of Aaron, through whom the people of God receives the Law.

In this Law is the commandments that concerns tithes and offerings.

Hebrews 7:11 (KJV)11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

In this present time, this people are no longer of the genealogy of flesh and blood, which profits nothing spiritually. (John 6:63)

1 Timothy 1:4 (KJV)4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

Titus 3:9 (KJV)9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Page 4: tryingthespirits.com and Offerings.docx  · Web viewThe land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed

As we are admonished, we will avoid foolish contentions and no longer give attention to outward fleshly genealogy, which has led many astray by the letters. The priesthood is now changed, through the coming of Christ in those He has chosen, as Peter wrote above.

Hebrews 7:12 (KJV)12 For the priesthood being changed, [=from Levitical, a figure of the good priesthood -Melchizedek- to come...]  there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

The change of priesthood also means OF NECESSITY the change of the law of tithes and offerings.   We will come to how this change is brought about by the Spirit of Christ shortly.

Verse 8.How have we robbed God?The prophet Malachi answered us earlier:

Malachi 1:7-8 (KJV)7 Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the Lord is contemptible.8 And if ye offer   the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil?and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the Lord of hosts.

Polluted bread is defiled food, which comes from a defiled heart with its works of the flesh.

Acts 15:20 (KJV)But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols,   and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

Through our carnal idols of the hearts (Ezek 14) we in our ignorance present to God awful sacrifices, evil fruit, “very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil”! (Jeremiah 24:3)From believing doctrines of devils causing us to walk and live accordingly, being strongly deluded we are were doing it for God. This is despising His name when we blaspheme with lies and hold false doctrines in His name. Offering the blind and the lame unto God is to offer “the sacrifice of fools” to our fellow man in Adam, that is, worldly things that are not of His Spirit.

Ecclesiastes 5:1 (KJV)Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil .[=  “if ye offer  the ..blind, lame and sick”.]

Page 5: tryingthespirits.com and Offerings.docx  · Web viewThe land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed

Any offering that is not of Christ, coming from a spirit that is not of God is what makes us robbers in the sight of Him.

John 10:1 (KJV)Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

Robbers is who we all were, doing the works of the flesh to go around God’s Law bringing “dead works” to God as an offering. This serves to only benefit the spiritual dead, which is not in service to the edify the conscience unto God. (Heb 9:14)

The natural man without the spirit of Christ can only offer the things of the flesh on God’s altar, which is beneath His glory. This is the curse (works of the flesh, of the Law) that we carnal men are cursing God with. It is through these polluted offerings that we rob our God by not presenting the things of the Spirit of Christ to our neighbour.By not loving our neighbour, we are cursing and robbing God, bringing no fruit unto Him.

Verse 9.9 Ye [are] cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

Note: the “are” is italic and inserted in original translations. It is true that the “ye” - the priests- are already cursed, but the emphasis of the verse is that by robbing God through the polluted offerings, the priests are cursing God, even as a son brings defiled gift to his father is as cursing the father.

We curse God because by nature, all men are first under the curse, that is to say, under the cursed Law of Moses being deceived and deceiving others.

Malachi 1:14 (KJV)But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.

Sacrificing unto God “a corrupt thing” is simply bringing forth to others (which is as unto God) the corrupt works of the flesh, sown in corruption, (1Cor 15:42) under the cursed Law:

John 7:49 (KJV)But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.

Galatians 3:10 (KJV)For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Page 6: tryingthespirits.com and Offerings.docx  · Web viewThe land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed

No one can do all that is written in the book of the Law! Hence all are first cursed being under the curse of the Law.No matter what tithes and offerings that are offered under the law, whether it is animal sacrifice, physical tithing of the fruit of the land and of the herd (even more so the carnal taking of 10% monetary wages and financial offerings instituted by the churches in the wilderness of today) they are all as cursing God being under a curse, sacrificing “a corrupt thing” in the sight of God.

But there is great wisdom behind all these the Lord is working at this time of our walk.

Ephesians 1:11 (KJV)In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things [=the carnal tithes and offerings we first give being under the curse of the Law before the coming of the refiner’s fire..] after the counsel of his own will:

Through the prophet Malachi, the Lord is signifying to His Elects in all generations the offerings that is not according to His glory, “a corrupt thing”, thereby teaching us what is not good, that is, impacting upon us a knowledge of good and evil. That is the end purpose of God in all these teachings of tithe and offerings.

Romans 7:7 (KJV)7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? [...law of tithes and offerings..] God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, [=“a corrupt thing”..] but by the law: for I had not known lust, [..or “a corrupt thing”..] except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. [..= you should not offer to God “a corrupt thing”, but tithes and offering in...(we shall see shortly what saith the Lord.)]

The purpose is to cause us to learn what is acceptable in His sight, to be able to discern both good and evil and thereby be a true helper (a saviour) in the things of the heart to our fellow man.

Hebrews 5:14 (KJV)But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern   both good and evil.

Verse 10.

10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, [..why? —>] that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

What is the Storehouse? Mine house?

We are told earlier in the verse:

Page 7: tryingthespirits.com and Offerings.docx  · Web viewThe land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed

Malachi 3:1 (KJV)Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.

Where shall the Lord come? Where is this storehouse, His temple?

1 Corinthians 3:16 (KJV)Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

1 Corinthians 3:9 (KJV)9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

Hebrews 3:6 (KJV)6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

We, those whom Christ comes into their hearts are the temple of God, the house of God.This is significant to know and understand because this is where God’s true sacrifices and offerings is being made, as it was in the days of the apostles and will be made in those to come. The place of offerings where all tithes are to be brought is no longer some designated outward building made with hands, but is in the secret place of the heart.

Acts 7:47-49 (KJV)47 But Solomon built him an house. 48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, [..true tithes and offerings are not offered here..] 49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

Now we have established where God’s storehouse is / His temple is in His people, what is the tithes and offering they are to bring forth to Him?

It is already written once again by the prophet Malachi:

Malachi 3:2-4 (KJV)2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.

Page 8: tryingthespirits.com and Offerings.docx  · Web viewThe land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed

Malachi 3:4 (KJV)4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the Lord, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

There we have it.

The offering unto God has nothing to do with the works of our hands (carnal things of this world) but spiritual offerings of righteousness,   which is the end purpose of God from the beginning.

Acts 17:24-25 (KJV)24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; [...again, the Spirit of the refiner, like fuller’s soap is NOT coming a second time to some physical church building ‘out there’, but the building which is His Body..and is most certainly not after carnal gifts of money and...] 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

Those chosen to truly worship the Lord worships Him this way:

John 4:24 (KJV)God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

This new way of worship is what the prophet comes to signify to us as bringing in the tithe to His house. What is this tithe?

Leviticus 27:30 (KJV)30 And all the tithe of the land,   whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's: it is holy unto the Lord.

Deuteronomy 14:22-23 (KJV)22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year. 23 And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there,  the tithe  of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings   of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the Lord thy God always.

The tithe is the produce of the land. Whether it’s fruit of the land or from the flocks. It is the Levite’s once again that are tasked to bring in these tithes, no other. This signifies once again it is those chosen of God that are to bring in the fruit of the land, or of herds and flocks.

Page 9: tryingthespirits.com and Offerings.docx  · Web viewThe land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed

Under the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, these tithes are figures of the true, signifying to the ministers of the New Testament and those in Him the fruit of the Spirit unto God.

Romans 6:22 (KJV)22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

The land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed grows into a tree bringing forth good fruits, that is, offering in righteousness.

Matthew 7:17-18 (KJV)17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

The sacrifices of those chosen of God are now to be above, exceed    those corrupt offerings under the Law as the Pharisees of old and now:

Matthew 5:20 (KJV)20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness [..of your tithe and offerings..] shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Luke 11:42 (KJV)42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Is tithes and offerings still significant to be practice under grace?

Nowhere in Scripture are we told we are no longer to tithe and offer unto God, to leave tithe and offerings undone.

That is often an over zealousness that comes with those first coming to see the Truth of God, but not in its entire Sum.

Romans 10:2-3 (KJV)2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.   3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, Christ [...of the Law..-Phil 3:9] have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Page 10: tryingthespirits.com and Offerings.docx  · Web viewThe land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed

Tithes and offerings are not to be left undone by those whom Christ inhabits. Doing so is going to establish self-righteousness, not of Christ. Offering the righteousness of Christ is to offer to God’s people, manifesting in the physical realm of our lives. When we offer tithes and offerings under the grace of our Lord, we are doing it to all men, even the least of Christ’s brethren.

Matthew 25:33-40 (KJV)33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, [=those the Spirit of Christ is in..]  saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Tithes and offerings of the saints are not to any particular institution of men, or on a specified day or to any seeking preeminence. It is always to all, manifesting the divine nature of God known by His fruit.

Verse 10...“if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

The Spirit of Christ dwelling in the saint’s heart is the blessing, “a blessing” spoken of by the prophet Malachi, of which they sought diligently to know (1Pet1:9) but was not revealed unto them, but to the chosen of God.

Ephesians 1:3 (KJV)3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

The heaven is our minds and hearts where Christ dwells.

That land is blessed of the Lord primarily in the heart and mind, that is signified as “the heavens”:

Ephesians 1:3-4 (KJV)3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Page 11: tryingthespirits.com and Offerings.docx  · Web viewThe land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Ephesians 3:16-17 (KJV)16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

This is the opening of the window of heaven, the pouring out of a blessing, which blessing is through Christ in you:

Ephesians 3:19-20 (KJV)19 And to know the love of Christ,   which passeth knowledge , [=that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”..] that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, [=we have not enough room of ourselves to contain God..] according to the power that worketh in us,

Verse 11.

11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground;   neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

When does this all begin?

Malachi 3:5 (KJV)5 And I will come near to you  to judgment ; [...it is when judgment begins ..] and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me,saith the Lord of hosts.

Tithes and offering begin by first taking away those offered under the Law, and ushering in spiritual tithes and offering through the second coming of Christ in those He has chosen. This is the time of judgment of the Judge Christ Jesus in our prepared body.

Hebrews 10:5-10 (KJV)5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but  a body  hast thou prepared me: 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

Page 12: tryingthespirits.com and Offerings.docx  · Web viewThe land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed

9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, [= tithes and offerings offered by the Law..] that he may establish the second. [=the Spiritual offerings]  10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Hebrews 10:11 (KJV)11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

The outcome of the judgment is to bring in a new and living way, as opposed to the spiritually dead way of the flesh under Law, which does nothing to the conscience.

All sacrifices under law (tithes and offerings) are types and shadow of the good things to come (Heb 10:1) which begins its fulfilment when Christ comes into His temple, as prophesied in Malachi 3 to take away the carnal gifts and sacrifices.

Hebrews 9:9-10 (KJV)9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; 10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

The second coming of Christ in our hearts and mind is the purifying of our conscience to redeem us from the carnal tithes and offerings previously being made under the Law, such as still in the churches in the wilderness of today which all their tithes and offerings is centered around carnal ordinances, ten percent of monetary wages, etcetera. Our works of the flesh also fulfils the corrupt offerings God hates.

In Christ, all things (including tithing and offerings) becomes new. This is the new and living way unto God that brings pleasure to God.

Hebrews 10:20 (KJV)By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

2 Corinthians 5:16-17 (KJV)16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: [...= our tithes and offerings are no longer to be after the flesh...]  yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; [...tithes and offerings as under the Law..] behold, all things are become new.

A new and living way of tithes and offering is through the judgment as prophesied by prophet Malachi.

Page 13: tryingthespirits.com and Offerings.docx  · Web viewThe land is our hearts, where seed (the Word) are sown to grow into trees bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit. A good seed

This which begins at:

1 Peter 4:17 (KJV)17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: [=Bring ye all the tithes  into the storehouse,   that  there may be meat in mine house .. ]   and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Coming of judgment is the coming of the Judge Jesus Christ, the bringing in of tithes into the storehouse - the works of Christ- in our lives. That imputation of grace is the chastening judgment that causes us to be denying ungodliness, treacherous behaviors as the sons of Levi which the Lord hates.

Titus 2:11-12 (KJV)11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching [=Gk: chastening] us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, [=a swift witness against  the sorcerers, and against  the adulterers, and against  false swearers, and against  those that oppress the hireling in his wages within you and I..so that ...] we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

The outcome of this chastening, purging / purification by fire is us offering the “fruit of the ground”, which is what tithe and offerings signify, a spiritual sacrifice unto God.

1 Peter 2:4-5 (KJV)4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Malachi 3:11-12 (KJV)11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground;neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.

“A delightsome land” is scriptural signification of a heart bringing forth fruit of the Spirit unto God.

Ephesians 5:2 (KJV)2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.....

.....Ephesians 5:9 (KJV)9 (For the fruit of the Spirit   is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

                   Conclusion.

Are tithes and offerings still significant to be practice under grace?

Under chastening grace, that is to say, under the fiery truth of Christ, the saints are being purified to do good works. Tithes and offerings have not ended, not left undone, but rather are made new in Christ.

Titus 2:13-14 (KJV)13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; [= Malachi 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:]

14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, [..how? =Malachi 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver:and  he shall purify   the sons of Levi, and purge them   as gold and silver, that  they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness..]  zealous of good works.

The law of tithes and offerings has now exceed that under the Law of sin and death, which was all carnal commandments imposed on us first before the coming of the refiner, the Lord God.

Once the grace of our Lord by Jesus Christ is established in us,(a dying daily process we are given in earnest in our hearts now-2Cor 1:22) we are no longer under that Law of carnal commandments, and our practice becomes a new Way of practice as the old way is taken away, put away in our life. We are then inaugurated (“consecrated”) unto the Lord’s spiritual service as His Priest to devote all our hearts unto Him only.

Mark 12:33 (KJV)33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more   than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

To have pure faith that the Lord God loves our neighbour as ourselves, and will save them from their flesh in the same manner as He is saving us, is more than ALL physical tithes and offerings, all labours done under the Law one could possibly do.

The Lord God is not after the gifts of our own hands (the things of this world), feigned love to others which is very deceiving, but upon closer examination, we find that it is a corrupt offering not out of a sincere heart. The greatest tithe and offering we can now bring is by laying down our lives (die to our selfish ways) to Him for the benefit of others now and in the age to come.

Philippians 4:17 (KJV)17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

Our greatest tithe and offering as we lay down our life (through crucifixion of the flesh) is to bring these fruits unto God, manifesting in our physical life to all neighbours around us.

Romans 12:1-2 (KJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Living sacrifice presenting their bodies on the altar of the Cross, transforming their hearts and minds by dying to the world brings forth these spiritual fruit:

Galatians 5:22-24 (KJV)22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ's [=priests of God] have crucified the flesh [=through the refinery’s fiery judgment..] with the affections and lusts.

Tithes and offerings is not a one time thing done to a particular person or place, but as with all things of the Spirit, a continual daily event from now on for the rest of our lifetime in the flesh. It is not a once weekly event, in specified day, month or year (Gal 4:10-11) as previously done under the Law with those still in the Babylonian camp of the Law.

Romans 6:14 (KJV)For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, [...as in our old ways of tithes and offerings..] but under grace.[..by offering tithes and offerings by a new and living way, in the Spirit manifesting to all.]

Spiritual sacrifices unto God, manifesting in our good works of the Spirit unto others is now part of our living and walking in the Spirit, “continually”.

Hebrews 13:13-16 (KJV)13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, [=outside of those under yet held in the camp of the Law , still making sacrifices unto idols..]. bearing his reproach. 14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.   15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. 16 But to do good and to communicate [Gk: fellowship / communion..] forget not: for with such sacrifices   God is well pleased.

Our doing and maintaining good works, (Titus 3:8/14) fellowship with others in the Lord, breaking bread in the Truth are all part of the new Way of tithes and offering, the true sacrifice of living in the Spirit.

Galatians 5:25 (KJV)If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. [..by offering tithes and offerings by a new and living way, through our flesh in the Spirit.]

Your brother offering tithes and offerings by a new and living way unto God,
