We have been extremely busy over the glorious Summer months planning for the term ahead and working on how we can improve the delivery of tuition. We have updated our website where you can download your tutorial booklets, which you will need for your classes. If you are a beginner - download the Preliminary Grade Book for the instrument you want to learn. This will introduce you to the first tunes that you will be learning and lead you towards the next level of progression. We are planning to introduce down-loadable recordings of the grade tunes you will be learning, starting with the Tin Whistle, so keep a close eye on our website. For those of you that have attended classes previously or if you already have some playing experience, you can also download tutorial booklets ranging from Grade 2 - Grade 8. Our classes are designed to make the learning of an instrument a fun and enjoyable experience. We can offer opportunities to gain accredited qualifications, if you choose to develop your skills further, and periodically, we organise concert performances where you will be invited to participate. We look forward to seeing you all soon. WELCOME TO OUR MUSIC CLASSES Bodhrán Workshop in Hannahstown Community Centre

Get the INSTRUMENT of your dreamsfrom as little as £10 per month

If you want to buy the musical instrument of your dreams then Take It Away may be the answer.Supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Take it away is an interest free loan schemewhich spreads the cost of buying a musical instrument. Customers can borrow anything from £100to £2,000 and spread the cost, interest free, over 9 months (with a 10% deposit).

As well as buying your chosen musical instrument, you can also add on additional items to yourTake It Away loan to help ensure you have everything you need to get playing such as an instrumentcase, amplifier, strings, reeds, sheet music and delivery or set-up charges. If the shop where you'reusing Take It Away offers tuition, you could also add on a block of lessons to your loan. There arecurrently four outlets in Northern Ireland offering the scheme to customers.

Matchetts Music, in Belfast, recently partnered with Uilleann piper, teacher and instrument maker,Patrick O'Hare, to offer customers the opportunity to purchase Patrick's high-quality pipes throughthe Take ItAway scheme.
