program.

AS Continuation Requirements

Grade 8

Merit-Based

Must successfully complete of Algebra 1 by the set deadline (generally

August 1st)

Must be successfully promoted to Grade 9

Grade 9

Have minimum cumulative unweighted 3.0 GPA when Semester 1 grades

finalize in January

Earn an acceptable score for admission into FSCJ on college readiness

test (PERT, ACT or SAT) in all three areas (reading, writing, and math) by

July 15th

Note: When taking PERT for the first time, students must be tested in all

three subject areas: reading, writing and math.

Successfully complete the SLS 1103 course Spring of Grade 9

AS Continuation Requirements

Grade 10

Must earn at least 9 credit hours by the end of Grade 10

Parent/guardian must attend transition meeting Semester 2 of Grade 10

Yearly

Maintain cumulative unweighted 3.0 high school GPA

Maintain a minimum 2.0 FSCJ cumulative GPA

Earn passing grades (A, B, or C) in all dual enrollment courses for which

the student enrolls

Students and parent(s)/guardian(s) must adhere to the Dual Enrollment
