She was selected through a competitive process at that time and was such a strong addition to our studio that we invited her rejoin our office on a part time basis while finishing school in the spring of 2016. During her experience with HKS, Angela contributed to a variety of projects in our commercial and healthcare sectors. She is a confident young designer and possesses strong skills in Revit modeling and documentation, 3D model making and contributed to the project documentation in the schematic, design development and construction document phases. Her documentation experience give her the opportunity to participate in planning, detailing, CD schedules and a variety of design studies to support the studio. Mentored by two of our most senior project architects in the office, Angela was integrated within project teams assigned to projects ranging from a new patient tower for a healthcare client in northern Illinois to a mixed use 40 story high-rise in downtown Chicago. She possess a strong collaborative spirit and her teams enjoyed her participation on their projects. With the above experiences, I highly recommend Angela for a graduate intern position in an architectural firm. She is personable, detail oriented and a strong team collaborator. Her contributions and confidence will benefit any studio and she is well on her way to becoming an architect in the future. Although we would have preferred to offer a full time opportunity to Angela upon graduation, a position was not available at that time.
