Purpose in Colombia: Colombia has approximately 50,000 scavenger families ("recicladores") that earn their livelihood in collecting solid waste. A 1986 programme was launched to organize the "recicladores" in local associations (Asociacion Nacional de Recicladores-ANR) by a local NGO. The purpose was to help "recicladores" improve their working conditions through enhancing their transport and quality control systems of selected waste. ESTRA ESTRA is one of the manufacturers of the trash cans program in Colombia. ESTRA follows the program create by the ANR to create the garbage cans that will be distributed throughout entire Colombia, not just schools but shopping malls, movie theatres, super markets, museum, etc. 40% 30% 10% 20% Total data: 15 interviews Audience: Teachers only ? 45% 22% 33% 50% 30% 20% 50% 30% 20% 50% We made a video showcasing the answers from properly given by the teachers, due to our 7:00 time limit we couldnt show it. The students do not take the interviews seriously and they dont care about the program. In high school and primary the trash cans are dirty and misused, in preschool the trash cans are clean and neatly cared for. The most common answer to recycle was because of awareness, and the most common answer to not recycle was because of laziness. People think that there should be more trash cans and clearer as well. sebitaslima1998.wordpress.com lagatitaconbotas2013.wordpress.com decciedi.wordpress.com angiesoto48.wordpress.com School interviews
