and a Paul Harvey quote etched on the glass. The mirror was donated by the Illinois Junior Angus Association.

The second high-selling item was the No. 50 of 50 pictures of “The Guardian” donated by Legacy Livestock Imaging of Topeka, Kan.

From its inception in 1995, the silent auction has grown annually as a fundraiser that generates unrestricted financial support for various activities sponsored by the Angus Foundation, such as Angus youth scholarships, Raising the Bar Conferences, Beef Leaders Institute and research projects related to beef cattle.

A complete list of auction donors and buyers is on page 220.

The Angus Foundation was established in 1980 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization to support Angus education, youth and research. To learn more about the Angus Foundation and the programs it supports, call the Angus Foundation at 816-383-5100 or go to www.angusfoundation.org.

Editor’s Note: Carrie Horsley is director of marketing and public relations for the Angus Foundation.

@Milford Jenkins, Angus Foundation president, enjoys interacting with youth and adults alike at the Silent Auction.
