One of Agri-Gene’s most sought after Angus sires for 2018 has been BALDRIDGE BEAST MODE B074. He combines the maternal power from his dam, who is one of the most successful brood cows in the breed with a set of figures that are peerless for low birth weight, huge growth and amazing carcase value. His first Australian calves started hitting the ground in February / March this year and are as impressive as his Australian EBV’s which are in the top 1% for all $indexes and growth traits with IMF at +3.

A handful of other USA sires that can compete with Beast Mode’s huge growth EBV’s are SITZ INVESTMENT 660Z, BRUNS BLASTER and new release sire for 2018, GAR SCALE HOUSE.

SCALE HOUSE is a MCC Daybreak son who impressed us on our 2017 USA tour. He offers an outcross to Berkley and Regent lines and will add frame with sound feet and good docility. The release of his Australian EBV’s created added attention towards Scale House as he now sits in the top 1% for all $indexes, 200, 400 and 600 day weight, carcase weight, EMA and retail yield.

From our Australian line-up our highest selling bulls include PATHFINDER KOMPLETE K22 and ESSLEMONT LOTTO L3.

KOMPLETE has proven himself through the EDGE program to be a super easy calving, short gestation sire that is a great option for heifer programs. He offers a great all-round package with flawless foot structure, ample body capacity and muscling with good temperament and excellent fat cover.

West Australian bull LOTTO now has almost 500 registered progeny and is proving to be a ‘customer satisfaction’ sire with many repeat orders for semen on the strength of the progeny in the paddocks! With good growth and index traits Lotto excels for maternal and fertility traits and is the breed leader for marbling at +3.8 IMF.

Our other marbling rockstars for 2018 include HAZLEDEAN F1023, who sits at the top of the pile with an amazing IMF EBV of +6.1

ALLOURA GET CRACKING G10, like F1023 is another product of the Angus Benchmark Program and currently ranks as the highest HBR sire for IMF at +4.9.

CHILTERN PARK MARBLES M3 is an exciting new Edmund E11 son from last year’s EDGE program who is about to make his mark on the breed. He is out of one of the breeds most promising young females and is another great calving ease option for heifer programs.

New Release SiresGLENLOCH-JK MAKAHU M602 is a newly acquired large framed Queensland bred Reality son purchased by Glatz Black Angus. He is slick skinned, smooth muscled and has an extremely well balanced set of EBV’s which feature desirable birth to growth ratios, excellent fat cover and scrotal with IMF over +3.

QUAKER HILL DEACON 5EX6 is a new release FEMALE SEXED SEMEN sire who was selected for sexed semen on the strength of his dam, QHF Blackcap 6E2 of 4VI6 4355. She has over 10 sons in AI studs and countless excellent daughters in production that have sold to $500,000 US recently.

BASIN RAINMAKER 4404 a new EDGE sire for 2018 that greatly impressed us on our recent USA tour. He offers an outcross option with correct structure from a deep maternal pedigree. His EPD’s are uniquely balanced and although not extreme in any trait, he is virtually unmatched within the population for all of the economically important traits that rank him in the top of the breed for $W and $B.

PATHFINDER MAGNUM M778’s data panel has him in the top 10% or better for no less than 14 traits and this saw his 2018 EDGE allocation sell out in record time. Magnum is a huge index bull with Te Mania blood both on sides of his pedigree and was a standout calf in his contemporary group at Pathfinder. When these EBV’s are combined with this balance of structural correctness, docility and eye appeal it has been little wonder that he is now only available outside the EDGE program for the spring.
